  1. I am wanting to make some twisty tail grubs for crappie fishing. The grubs I have now look like they were from an injection mold. How would I be able to make a mold out of these since they are so small? Or Where can I get crappie injection molds?
  2. Thanks for the info pike. It will surely help.
  3. Ok I have another question. How would I go about degassing the rtv mold step by step?
  4. Wow! Thats alot to take in. I will definitely be looking forward to your tutorial. Thank you for the info. Most of it makes sense but with me being pretty new at this there is some that didn't. Every little bit of info helps though. Thanks Pike!
  5. I am looking for some information on RTV molds. I have been looking at buying alumilite RTV molding material. What I was wondering is if I would be able to do a 2 part mold with rtv and how. I have tried a 2 part mold with POP and it worked out fine but I was thinking that I would like that rtv a little better. Any info would be great.
  6. I'm pretty new to the jig building as well but in my experiences the paint is going to chip off of there. It just happens when you drag the bait over rocks. One thing you could try to extend the life of the paint on the jig is try baking it after you have painted it. I use a small toaster oven to cure my jigs and than sometimes I don't even bother baking them. It just depends on how lazy I'm feeling. Hope this answers your question.
  7. Thanks guys for the Ok. I will defiantly try and make it. Sounds like you all have a lot of fun and it would be nice to get some pointers from fellow lure makers. Nathan I will e-mail you for directions on a later date.
  8. Hey to all! I'm pretty new on here and pretty new to making my own lures. I live in sedalia, mo. It would be nice to meet some fellow lure makers that are local. What is this get together? let me know if I can get in on some of this action too. Thanks!
  9. Hi I am new to the site and new to the world of lure making. I was wondering if there is anyone on here that lives close to Sedalia, Mo that I could get in touch with and learn how to make soft plastics. I am kind of jumping into it and I would like to learn a little bit by doing it the hands-on way. I would appreciate any help I could get. Thanks.
  10. Lurecraft.com carries microbubbles. Here's the link hope it helps. http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog.cfm/plastic-products/plastic-additives
