  1. Phil Williams and his brother are out of Britan operating in Tiawan . I have his Phone no. and Email some place .
  2. Jim Ziener is no.1 Nuff said . I think I was the first one to ever post his shop quite a while back . Now I see regular posts . I'm thinkin bout get'in a job as a PR man . LOL
  3. I sold mine a few months back lot of meat in those baits . The action is decent . Depends on the plastic . Prolly know soft plastic more action harder plastic less action . I had absolutely no problems shooting the baits . work like a charm . Sometimes if you get a mold that does not fill in the extremities just run the nuts ' bolts or clamps finger tight almost loose . will solve the problem . Got a couple molds I have to treat with TLC that way .
  4. Just to let Ya'all know I know this guy and consider him to be a pretty darn decent fellow . Howdy there bro didn't even know you were on TU .
  5. Good grief glad I don't musky fish . You need a small quadraped to drag that around . But then I'm a tad lazy too .
  6. Boy In a way I'm glad I got to sick to do Production lure making . Now I can play again . Guess there is something to be said for being puny . Any way this is an old style lure I have always loved but with my spin on it . Cedar body , vinyl paint and epoxy . Pretty much hand made with the most rudimentary tools . Have a Peak. Just for giggles !
  7. You can try shooting the bait . Don't move the injector for ten seconds then pull some plastic out , Probably just leave a dimple in the bait if you open it to quick .
  8. Used a CCM carrot mold for the body . Used tinfoil for a laminate plate between halves . If I use the plate I only get one half shot at a time . It's already got some stripers . Unfortunately not by me . Got plenty of relatives just waiting for me to toss something out the shop door . Nova ya never know about being related . My heritage is kinda iffy .
  9. Every once in a while I get struck with a gotta do something different syndrome . Another nuttie Idea . This time of year is sand eel season . Figured I'd do this and get some thoughts on it . This is 6'' long , 5/8ths head Inline blade that spins up down and on the retrieve , imbedded ball bearing swivel . The body is round tapering back to a flat tail . The hook is set farther back to get short strikes . Well that's about it . Whud da ya Thank. Pic Sucks i know !!!!
  10. I have the CCM hard . Once you get a bait made from it it is pretty tough without loosing much or any action . Takes some getting used to . Each to his own but it is not my favorite .
  11. I have tried them . Had no gripes and that is a wire . I clip it and epoxy it in a pre- drilled hole .
  12. You can also make a solid tube with tail by making a drop plug put in after the tube is filled . If you are blessed with engenuity put splines in your plug and they will make a nearly pre - cut tail .
  13. TPE pellets will melt around 310 to 400 degrees . It takes around 100 lbs pressure to push it as it does not become fluid like plastisol . It also works best if it is in a continous flow system or is used up all at once and the apparatus cleaned immediately because it will burn and stick . Voice of experience here . YOU DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN

    YUM Houdini Shad

Yum discontinued the 9'' Houdini Shad . I'd like to pick some up in any color . If ya have'em Holler at me.
  15. I added powder paint as a colorant once just for giggles . Got a pretty darn stiff lure from that . Wasn't very shiny though.
  16. J lure flat waxed nylon is a fly tying thread you can get it anywhere tying supplies are sold . Comes in any color you want . I usually used red .
  17. If you use flat waxed nylon to do a wrap then hit it with super glue . The thin stuff . You should see a whisp of smoke . The glue melds with the nylon and it becomes like a hard injected plastic . Surprised me first time I saw that little smoke signal .
  18. Yep out of stock , thats why I'm on the hunt .Checking the link Ray put up THANKS
  19. You can always pour lead in it . cut where you want . Put the head back on the mold . That way you don't damage the mold . I do that if I want a master for a silicone mold .
  20. Anybody have or know where I can get a few prop blades 3'' or longer . Checked the usual places . It's a special project I'm not going to need 25 to 1000 of them . Thanks in advance .
  21. Pretty cool , Looks great probably works great too.
  22. Seal coat needs to be cured for not less than 24 hrs. before hitting the water . I generally put anything from CS under infrared heat . at least 115 degrees circulated air . If you are going to use this type of coating I reccomend investing in an OSHA approved vapor mask.
  23. Try smoke with a core shot of pumpkin .
