  1. x2 and cap off the sprue hole with excess plastic . Give a little more time before de-mold.
  2. Are you talking 2-3-4 oz . If so you can use an inline sinker mold by putting a groove in it so you can lay a pull wire in the mold . Of course it is going to have the weight on the side of the body .
  3. Anybody that wants to ship me free there left over plastic please do . I don't care if it stinks . My dog sleeps in the house . Its a BIG dog . If I can survive a dog fart . I can stand most anything . LOL
  4. X2 on that not only will you create a mess it will stink out the country side . Skunks will turn you in to animal activists for infengement on there right to stink.
  5. For some reason can't pull your pic up .

    Alabama Rig!

YOU Mean some'thin like this . Had this hanging with my dumb a$$ lures for months . Sort of my personal giggle box .
  7. This is just for fun to look at .
  8. Mark sometimes you can lay a straightened hook in the mold with the jig hook along the back of the shank . you can then bend it out from the shank slightly . Slide on your grub . gives a bit of extra hold .
  9. I was afraid it would go like that and from the pic there is not a lot of room should someone take the notion to machine the spring groove longer . Here is a crazy Idea . Shoot a bait with the spring loc in it . Told ya it was crazy . LOL
  10. I'm working on Another Nutty Idea for powder painting . The proto type works pretty well . But Like everyone else I'm about half afraid to post it . May do it anyway .
  11. If you paint with a brush . Invest in some good ones . For dots and spots just get an assortment or straight pins , hat pins ect . Stick the point into a pencil eraser . Use the pencil as a handle . Dip the head of the pin . Then touch off the bait . With a little practice you can do perfect dots using the toad method . You can also make quite nice 3D eyes on your bait this way .
  12. Works pretty good with a craw trailer .
  13. I was wondering about that . Being shy and innocent I didn't want to say anything.
  14. I've used it . sometimes it yellows . But that won,t matter much if you are not coating over eyes .
  15. Probably get it or something close from Bear .
  16. You can thin any of the epoxies with acetone do it all the time .
  17. Used to be kits for that . But they will be basically for fly fishing . Buy the time you wag a wooden box around you'll be able to scratch your feet without bending down .

I can relate and the blood trails around my shop will prove it .
  19. I did an experiment some time back with powder paint as a color pigment . The bait was tough . not as shiny . Might try clear . see what you get .
  20. I have all of them . CLEAN LEAD is no. 1 Fuller the better is no. 2 especially for heads that have any size to them . Being more or less gravity feed you need all the umph! you can get . Remember gravity feed fuel systems . When low on fuel going up hill really sucked . Going down hill wasn't half bad . LOL Oh Yea . I turned the bottom plate around on one and screwed it to the table so it hung out all alone . Nothing in the way . Other than mold makers seem to like to make spinner bait molds with the wire sticking up in the way . Now that is just plain wrong ! @$%%^@
  21. Preaching to the choir here. x4
  22. I just stayed up to late in the man cave or I'd had better sense . Now then seems to me that lead residue being heavier than air could be captured by a series of filters stacked one after another . The first one about the density of an air conditioner filter then graduate up to a more dense filter . This would slow the air flow enough to allow the particles of lead to fall and be trapped between the filters . Just Another of My Nuttie Ideas .
  23. Since my last experience a few days ago . Lead has less chance of killing me than Fog you can poke a hole in with a stick . A deer that likes to stand in the middle of the road like a tomb stone and the tree that would not give when I over compensated . My truck is toast and I now truly know what a frog in a blender goes through.
