  2. Mark ole buddy that is what I use on every thing that needs a clear coat . Wood metal bout darn near everything . Have not tried it on a car yet .
  3. Use bicycle spokes .o90 Made a few for friends over the years .
  4. Aspirin heads eye sockets have utilized nearly all the area they have available for their individual size . To get a bigger eye in one if that is the intent , You can only flatten the eye ridge . Then paint it stick the eye on and clear epoxy coat over it so the eye will stay . I for my own reasons epoxy coat everything I can .
  5. After the cure wipe your lures with anise oil Hang it in the air couple hours . No the toad is not dead yet .
  6. Due to the state of affairs in this country . Particularly the border crisis . I find it necessary to apply my time and talents in other areas . It saddens me that I could not just quietly wind up my life making jokes , doing dangerous dumb experiments and aggravating tackle makers in fun . To my brothers from different mothers . Thank you for enriching my life . I will check on you all if - when I can . Later Toad rides again.
  7. There are no problems with Bait Junkies Plastic . Bob you just get those machines of yours going . NO more fishing till I get a pic of a new creation . I'm going to put a Cherokee curse on you If ya don't send some pics .
  8. I've been looking at that bait and Lakeside Baits Willow Tail worm . Tough choice in some ways . I buy baits I can get the most versatility from in rigging options . As far as if they will work goes , Well if a fish will bite one of those stupid stick baits then you can pretty much figure they will tear heck out of other baits .
  9. If you don't find someone then try any kind of mica powder up to and including eye shadow . Just scrape the eye shadow into hot plastic and stir .
  10. Yep 1 part hard 1 part soft gives you a medium grade . You can go 2 parts soft and 1 part hard puts you in a grade just slightly between . Salt water plastisol mix with soft will give you a grade between medium and tough. Sometimes playing around like that can cause changes you don't expect . Like dents you didn't have before in a bait . Weird heating reactions and times . Things like that . If your not like me and prone to A.D.D. You won't go piddling someplace leaving it to burn up .
  11. That is like asking the difference between Budwieser and Bush beer . I'll drink either one and be just as happy . So if you get some beer or plastic you don't like . Please box it up and send it to me . Beer First . So when I get hot plastic on me I can hold the can to the hot spot .
  12. C clamps or gang them together in a horizontal piston clamp . Will need spacers between the molds to keep from interfering with the injector.
  13. The bristles from an old hair brush work great for small jigs . You can pull the whole clump with a pair of needle nose pliers . They have a good fit as well .
  14. If you are going to turn the mold something like a potters wheel with stops so your mold won't slide might be an option . HINT : micro wave motor .
  15. Try this . Use a flat eye which for some reason sticks better . Then take a black 3D eye and stick it onto the center of your flat eye . for some reason the 3D eye sticks solidly to the flat . Use epoxy over that . It will give you a near enough 3D look to satisfy most folks .
  16. If that is the case . Just make you some dipping rods and dip ya some up . You can crimp tubing and things like that to get different shapes . Turn a wood dowel , seal it and epoxy coat it . On and on . Just look up dipping tubes in the archives . Should be a ton of info and ideas in there .
  17. Are you talking the squid looking tube .
  18. Won't find the exact mold for sale . What makes that any different from the same Do-It style other than the collar .
  19. Those chickens are very tasty . Very adaptive bird and lay big ole brown eggs . Can stand 25 degree weather . They have very few feathers to remove when you clean them . Reproduce well on their own . My grandfather raised them . I keep a few because they have always been here . Ugliest darn things babies or adults .
  20. Along with the other crazy stuff I do . I raise chickens . A rare breed called Transylvania Naked Necks . I grind baby chick feed with a grist mill . It will grind salt to what ever consistency you like .
  21. It could be several things depending on what equipment you have and size ,type of mold . First guess is the lead is not pure or the flow into the cavities is in some way restricted not giving you a consistant flow .
  22. I'd say put the money in the bank and forget it . But then none of us do that cause there ain't no fun comes from that . The guys are dead on when they tell you that web sites , advertising taxes and all that is a waste . Time will be a killer in itself . You will spend as much time dealing with paperwork BS as you do making the stuff . That is if you keep records and track things the way you should . Cost analysis should be done quarterly same as taxes . Why , because these days things are in a constant state of transition . Just remember when you start to dread going to the shop . You have begun the road to cheating yourself out of the prime directive . Do what you love . Love what you do. Above all have fun .
