I have had a couple of the Bear's ones and they shot really well. Making the "core shot" is a great addition to the baits too. More versatile than some of the other types of molds. You can do so much with swimbaits as far as eyes, core colors, paints, dipping, etc.

I say, Go Big or Go Home. I use a 16 oz one from Autozone for $13.00 that I converted for a few cents. I shoot a lot of molds with this one and the nozzle screws on too. Have not had one bit of trouble with it in 6 months of use. (Yes, I have had a few of Bear's injectors and a BT's injector, but this one for the money and size is the best.)

I had the 5.5 RWST from Del and did not have any "hairs" or any trimming to do on them. Maybe your molds were early ones. You do have to inject it s-l-o-w though. And DT is correct, no void in the bait. Although if you don't top off the sprue after shooting it can leave one for you.

I have added fresh ground beans to my plastic and don't know that it catches more than the others without, but it does make for some neat looking specks in the plastic which are irregular in shape and size which is what nature kind of has anyway. Glitter is too uniform in shape to me and looks more "fake". I think a lot of things would work to help mask human odor, so this just happens to be one of them. I still use the coffee today in some of my baits.

Wouldn't be near as much fun. That's why I make baits myself. If I just wanted baits others did I would just go to the store. Plus it gives you the chance to try a mold to see if you like it prior to buying. I have bought many at retail then turn around right after and lose money because I didn't care for it. I like the idea.

I made a lot of 6" tubes for a guy using crochet needles. They come in all kinds of lengths and diameters. I have had great success with hand dipping tubes. Lots of fun to do also if you have the extra time. Tubes are my favorite soft plastic to fish, so it is worth it for me.
