Hey guys i've been in a mania since ive started makeing my own baits. I would like as many replies to this as i can get its just an idea i have and i think it may be good so i wanted to run it by you guys and see what you thin or have to say. My dream is to own my own tackle shop with some of my custom stuff in it. But i took a closer look to the compitition out there and was blown away by how many companies are actually out there but none the less i want to do it. I did however find a lack in the system that no one had. Well there are tons of your normal bait shops with you stirkekings,bandits,lucky crafts and such. Sometimes they also have a few of there own creations in it also. But anyway ill get to the point i think i want to open up a shop with everyones custom baits in it. I've looked on here and have been blown away with the baits and maybe if there was one place you could go to get them all it would be a hit. Just an idea but if anyone wants to suggest anything or offer help truthfully i see so many great lure builders on here that this would be the main place to get all the custom baits. Sorry if this sounds all jumbled up because im kinda excited about the idea!h

ive been picking it off with my nails and a knife. It just takes too long there has to be an easier way to get the paint off lures. If you have any advice please help.

Hey guys im starting to paint baits and i can not for the life of me find a good clear coat. Ive read alot about auto grade clear coat??? what is that lol and if you paint lures if you wouldnt mind shareing what you use and where i can get it because the stuff im useing just doesnt cut it!

Well thats whats to weird to me the lead im using Says its 99.9% lead i get it online and sometimes at basspro. ive heard a lot about the impurities in lead and i was wondering what exactly includes

Hi my names josh im 18 just joined tackle underground and also just started building baits. Im starting with football head jigs and shakey heads so if you have any tips I'd love to hear them im from Kodak, TN. I'm a huge bass fisherman and try to get out atleast 4 times a week Add me as a friend id love to talk about baits,ideas, or just shoot the breeze. I build rods and try to paint crankbaits lol. O sorry its melting the lead and no it does drip from the start it doesnt pour after the first couple jigs and it just drips theres nothing blocking the hole the dial is set on 8 or 9 at all times

I got a new jig mold and cant find the hook to fit it the mustad hooks i got where too light wire. i think its a aberdeen hook and i rele dont know what else fits the molds so any help would be great!

Ive seen so many beautiful foil designs on custom crankbaits. I was wondering what you need to do it where to get it and how to do it pretty much i know nothing about it besides when u do it right it looks great! So please help thanks

Ok well i got my 1st lead melter last week and after useing it for a little bit (like 12 jigs) it just start to drip and it wont pour ive tried everything the directions said to but it keeps dripping so i returned it and got a new one and once again got the same deal!?!? what do i do or what am i doing wrong

no i didnt cuz the wed gaurd melts when i bake it and there were no base hole pins and i asked him about it and he said the base hole pins dont fit this mold

Ok well im really trying to figure out these jigs lol i just bought a lee IV production pot and ive been pouring football head jigs well there commin out fine. But i really need help with the paint im useing powder paint then i put a clear coat with fleck over it but it just chips off when i pull it over rocks so whats a better clear coat or powder paint or even a different way to use them any advice would be sooo appreciated!
