Thanks Crankpaint!! I am definately looking to beat my new PB. I think it is a passion, that all of us fisherman have. The big swimbait was painted for someone else, but I have been thinking of trying one that size. I mostly throw the size of the BBZ. Throwing that Big Swimbait all day, would probably be like a P90x workout!! -

This is an 8" Reaction Strike swimbait painted in Gizzard Shad. Painting this big swimbait was a challenge. I had to paint it in a vertical hanging position, that was a first for me. Cleared with Dupont automotive clear. The back changes from copper to green. -
I use Etex for mine. After applying the images, I try to closely match the back and belly, to the baitfish color.

Thanks Brad!! The two sides are photofinished of a crappie I caught back in the summer. I then paint the back and belly to match the baitfish, as close as possible. I added the purple highlites, but the guy that sent it wanted a bright chartreuse under the tail section. They very well could be cousins!! Yours looks awesome my friend!! -

Thanks Crankpaint!! Smallies around here love the bluegill for some reason. I caught a 5lb smallie last sping on a rattle bait in this pattern. I decided to try a jerkbait, in the gill pattern, this spring.

These are a 5 1/2lb and a 5lb spotted bass caught on a LC Staycee 90 that I painted in a Threadfin Photofinish. A big thanks to Husky for sharing the tutorial!! -
The light behind your lure turner does the trick for the etex to harden during the winter. I mounted a 2ft long light on the backside of turner and it cures fine during the cold temps.

Thanks Vic!! It is a color that a guy wanted me to match. I will more than likely paint me a few of those up to use also. Looks to be a great smallie or spotted bass color. -
Thanks guys!! I have caught more bass on photofinish jerkbaits the last two years, than any other jerkbait in my box. Not sure how much weight it adds, but the fish don't mind the added weight.
