  1. Buy some Xacto knives, pull the blade out and then tighten it up on your rear hook hanger. I do all of my lipless baits this way to put on the drying wheel. It will also work with crankbaits. Be sure to not put the etex on to heavy around the exacto. It gives you a little room to work without it sticking to the hookhanger. Here is a link: http://www.xacto.com/

    Welcome to TU!! Thanks Jon!! It took me a while to get where I am at, on my lure painting. I have to thank all he guys here on TU that helped my painting skills along the way. Hang out on here as much as you can on TU and be sure to use the search feature. You will definately make it to the good work someday!! Good luck with your painting and be sure to have fun doing it. Now I have to head to the shop for more painting...

    Thanks guys!! It is grass camo with tan center down the back and mallard green eyes. The guy I painted it for wanted something to do with hunting, since he loved both hunting and fishing so much.

    This is a bait that I painted for a friend. One of his close friends died in a car wreck last week and he wanted the bait painted for a memory of his friend. Adam loved to fish, but he also loved to dove and duck hunt as well. The guy was a young 27 year old. Very sad too see him get killed this young. Hope he Rest In Piece!!

  13. Thanks Mikko!! It is photofinished using Husky's Tutorial posted. I now only use the thin foil underneath the smooth finishes. I would be more than glad to email the pic of the bluegill to you, for you to use on your bait. You have been very helpful to others( including me) so it is time for me to return the favor friend!! Thanks Stan!! You do some very nice works as well bud!!

  15. All four of these bluegills I caught this past summer and maid baits out of them. It amazes me how much differently each bluegill caught looked. Almost like chameleons!!
