Great looking baits Brad!! My mind wanders all the time too, just look at mine:
  6. Your very welcome Clint!! Good luck with your painting, when you start up. Be sure to have fun and enjoy every minute of it. You will definately be hooked, when you catch your first bass, on a bait you painted. The 11.13 only took me about 25 years to catch, I hope to catch her again in a couple of years from now. She should be close to a state record by then!! Good luck with your quest for the Big Bass, Hopefully you will catch a TOAD!! Patrick
  7. I don't know the real answer to color shades on how fish see them. I have caught fish shallow using red baits and have also caught fish deep using red baits. So I don't know if they see them differently as the bait goes deep or not. Same goes for a shad colored shallow running crankbait, I have caught fish on shallow runners and deep divers both on the same day. They would't touch any other color crank that day!! Welcome to TU!! Patrick

Very nice for your first ones!!
  9. I cut the flat sides off of our discarded milk jugs, it makes great stencil material. I draw out my pattern, then cut it out with a straight razor.
  10. Nicely done Bruce, They all look great!! Patrick
  11. Hey Clint!! I have the Iwata HP-C+ and love it. It is my workhorse brush!! You can use the back dial to control how far back your trigger will go. It definately helps with just starting up. I have had my brush going on three years and never a single problem, still going strong!!
  12. Great video Diemai!! Thanks for sharing it with us!! Patrick

Awesome paint slingin, Those look great!!
  14. You can use the Allumilite silicone mold making from Hobby Lobby for your mold. You can also use Allumilite Super Casting Resin for your baits.
  15. Sorry for your loss Michelle!! Prayers sent for you and your family!!
  16. A little tip would be to not start out painting with some tough patterns. As Brad said, it takes time to fully learn your airbrush. Start out with some fairly easy patterns until you can paint them without any overspray. Then move up a little at a time on tougher patterns, as you learn to control your gun. You will get a lot less frustraited by doing this. Your craw looks great to me also!! Patrick
  17. The gravity feed will save you a lot of paint over the years. I use Iwatas and love them, but I am sure there are other great airbrushes out there. I use a Brute 15 gallon compressor and let it fill up to 120 psi and can paint with that all night, without having to turn the compressor back on. You have a ton of options, just pick the ones that will be best for you!!

Very nicely done Gene, They look great!!
  19. I use a rotissery motor, It can be bought at Wally World for around $20.00. Lots of tips on how to build them, on the search feature.
  20. Try cleaning your nozzle and make sure the needle is pushed all the way in. Take your end cap, nozzle cap and nozzle and soak it in lacquer thinner over night. Take a cleaning brush and and brush the paint off of them, It should come right off. Make sure your needle is clean also. A clean airbrush will be your best friend for painting lures!! Patrick
