What would happen if you put three scrounger heads on, with grub bodies?
It would be a Whole Lot Of SHAKIN Going On!!

I use an artist brush for my painted eyes. Once the brush is wore out from applying epoxy, I pull the metal end off, with brush attached. It has a perfect round end for the eye, just flip over to the skinny end for the pupil. Sort of the same as a wooden dowel, but already shaped.

Next question, where do you get soft tempered SS wire???
Here is where I buy mine http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/ss-lure-making-wire/311666.aspx
I use the same technique as some of the others, wrap around nail & drill.

I dont remember his name but the TU member from Europe who makes all the glider baits paints some really cool eyes using the stickers. You can watch how he does it on You Tube. I tried it on a pike bait and it works.
Here you go!!

Nice looking foil baits Mark!!

I use Paint Shop Pro9 for my resizing. There are many other available programs for resizing photos.

Try the gift tissue over a thin piece of foil, It works great!! I have caught lots of nice bass using Husky's method, I see no need to change!!

Welcome to TU!!
I use the D2T for sealing in the lips and it works great. I then spread two thin coats of super glue all over the bait, to seal the wood. It has worked great for me so far!! I also dip the hook hangers in D2T, before putting them in.
I have seen the Hobby Lobby 30 min epoxy, but I have never tried it.

I have a good friend that custom paints them, in Florence Alabama. He told me about them, back in the Summer, I should have bought one!! They are winning tournaments left and right around here. I was sort of skeptical about it at first, but now I am a firm believer!! They are all out of stock now

I received the Big Bass of the month from Hank Parker and crew!! Hats off to Hank and crew for putting up some very nice prizes for the big fish awards. I will now be entered for the yearly winner and a chance to fish with Hank Parker for a day :praying: That would be cool to win. I have always liked Hank, he seems like a great family man.
My wife also entered my pic in Get Largemouth's "Pic Of The Week" and won that one also. It has her name on it and as Hubby's Catch!!
Definately was a Catch Of A Lifetime for me and one I will never forget!!

The photofinish baits do catch fisherman's eyes, but they also catch some nice bass. Three of the biggest bass that I have caught, on a bait that I painted, were caught on a photofinish baits. The three came from three different lakes and were three different types of bass and three different types of water.
I caught my biggest smallmouth to date (5 lbs) at Pickwick on a photofinish bluegill rattle bait, The lake has stained water.
I caught my biggest spot to date (6 lbs) on a photofinish shad jerkbait at Bay Springs, The lake has clear water.
I caught an 8lb largemouth on a photofinish shad crankbait in a lake that has muddy water.
I have caught over a hundred bass, this year, on the jerkbait alone. It has caught them in clear and stained water. Not sure if it is the color or the action of the bait, but it definately puts fish in the boat.

You can use Krylon Fusion as a basecoat, can be bought at lowes or walmart. Patrick
-
You can buy minnow nets for a buck or two and cut them out, They make some nice scales. Hobby Lobby also sales some mesh material, that makes some nice scales. Just keep your eyes out for different types of netting, You can get all types of scales.
