After I sand the lure, I then wipe it down with alcohol before painting. Is it better to wash it with soap and water before painting?

I am using devcon 30 min epoxy as a clearcoat and sometimes after it has hardened it will have dimples in the clear. Anyone have an idea what causes this?

Thanks guys, I have been using one coat for my bass fishing. I just started painting lures and wanting to know the best way to protect the paint. I am using devcon 30 min right now as I learn more and get better, I will try different things. Just doing it as a hobby.

How many coats of devcon 30 min expoxy does it take to protect the paint really well?
