He probably isn't busy is why the molds are being shipped quickly too but I will say no more. What I will say is if anyone has a mold they would like but do not want to order from him, I will be happy to look at it and if it is something I add to our stock line up, we will not charge a design fee, only the mold cost. I would need a copy of the bait or borrow the mold itself so we can make our version of it. We have several molds that we converted to LureCraft molds.

I think most are about the same. We have floater bubbles which are micro glass bubbles.

We offer custom mold making and will be happy to give you a quote. Right now our lead time is a couple weeks or less once the design work is finished.

Are you finding the Dank Tube mold on Angling AI's website? I am asking because that is a LureCraft mold and my program. Thanks!!!

We do! Send us the worm you want and if we don't have something close, we will make a mold for you. With over 1000 molds, it is hard to know exactly what you want unless we see a sample. Thanks!!!!

If you figure out the cost of plastic itself in a bait, unless you are making some really large salt water or musky baits, the cost of plastic is almost nothing whether you buy it at $500 per drum or $1200 per drum - you get what you pay for. When we were making baits, before purchasing LureCraft, my husband would get samples from others, open the container and get a whiff of it and put the lid back on and throw it away. The biggest cost of a bait is the labor that is put into making it, along with the packaging, excise tax etc. It does seem like a huge difference when purchasing it up front but when you figure it per bait, it is only a penny or two difference.

We now have an adapter so you can get a back/belly color on any of our swim bait molds.

I'm sorry you don't like the website. What is so diifficult about it? The only way I can try to correct issues is if you guys talk to me!

Guys - I am sorry the colors have changed over the years and they all have not changed at the same time. What has happened is pigments that use to be purchased are no longer able to be bought because they have become obsolete. LureCraft is over 45 years old so the pigments purchased were formulated long before we bought the company and before many of the other companies started selling plastic making supplies. When we were making baits, we didn't like some of the coloring by themselves either but learned to combined different colors to make what we were looking for. Was it simple - no, but one can't change a pigment unless absolutely necessary because of those who have been buying it for a long time and when it does have to be changed, we try to still make it as close as possible. The pumpkinseed is called that instead of pumpkin (which I think it should be called too) because that is what is was called before we bought LureCraft. I apologize for the change in come of the colors but it was out of our control and we tried to formulate the new colors as close as we could. We have not had to change any raw pigments for well over a year now. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I didn't realize anyone was having issues with these as we have never had any complaints. We never used them - we have always either used the microwave, Lee Pots or our production pots. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I guess I should add too that not all but some pigments have phthalates in them. When diluted in the plastic though, many of them are small enough in volume that they are still considered phthalate free because you are allowed so many parts per unit.

None of our components haf phthalates in them. We changed all our plastics over to phthalate free products some time ago and that includes the liquid we put in our coloring.

Just so everyone knows, we do not change our recipes or dilute our coloring from one time to the next no matter what the economy does, however, if my gals don't let it mix up well enough before putting it in the bottles, there could be some variation and I would like to know about that. The reason we are having to change some of our coloring is because we are running out of the base color and they last so long (some are 15 or more years old) and when we go to get new, some are not made any longer so we have to have new formulated. We are trying to get as close to the existing colors as possible but is very difficult. We understand the importance of color change because we pour baits ourselves.
