i have the 3.5" frog. i have used 2/0 wide gap (fit perfectly in the groove) i have used the zoom 5/0 frog hook. it's a lil big. and i just bought the ribbit double hook. you have to put the hook points in the side of the body. i haven't made a cast with it yet. oh almost forgot. if you want to wake it instead of on top of the water. try using a 1/8 oz swimbait weighted hook. 4/0 or 5/0

you could boil them. or maybe get some softner from the bait pouring stores and put it in the bag and let it soak. it might work.

i know you dont want to dip, but i use superglue to put the eyes on and then dip...no problems and its a clean finish.

that sounds like me the first time i made a pop mold. not enough water, then too much, finally got it to harden to realize some baits floated up some didnt wwant to unstick. it was a big mess lol -

not bad for first try. here's a couple quick suggestions that i learned the hard way 1) go to the dollar store and get their cheap tupperware...if you are gentle you can use it to make many molds. they will me uniform and easily stackable. 2) buy a role of double sided tape. one of my first molds was of trick worms mold came out great. and it cost me like 3 bucks for the tupperware and tape and i got the bis bucket of POP so like 10 bucks for that. keep up the good work. -
i only have the 3.5 inch frog. you can use a 2/0 widegap and it fits it perfectly. all the frog hooks on the market just seem to be a little big for the 3.5. i dont add scent. i dont see a point. i dont add scent to my swimbaits either. i'm going to try and get some samples of the bigger frogs. oh i suggest using med plastic for the frogs over soft. i used soft for my firzt frogs and they didnt stay on the hooks that well...unless you use the frog hooks.

as far as i know there is no mold out there that is made for pouring pre-rigged baits. but i poured some a while back. i dont remember if i posted on here or not. i think i did. ill attached the pics so you can see what i did. basically i just suspended the hooks in the mold and poured around it. the hooks are not the right size for the bait, i was just playing with the idea. also i will attach the swimmerbait i did. its a spinner bait body with a trailer hook and its suspended in the mold

what about taking a couple of your 6" baits and combining them to make an 8" bait then crate your own mold from that?

i went through and grabbed a crap load of old baits. looked blankly at the mess i had just made. grabbed a monster, scissors, razor and superglue. and just start frankensteining the crap out of things. some came out well. made POP molds and the baits were ok. some were a disaster. but its fun -
its sounds like you want a thicker/tougher plastic. you can either buy med plastic and add hardener or you can try LureCraft i believe. they have a "saltwater" plastic i think.
