  1. Nice lures! Welcome to the forum. Rob
  2. After I dip my lures I hang them from the bill, I then wipe away the goop on the bottom hanger with a small piece of paper towel. It doesn't build up again, it seams to stick to the lure in a couple minutes.
  3. I hang my lures from the front line tie also. It keeps the gst from building up on the lip!
  4. 30 minute BS epoxy or 20? I think 30 would work, 20 might take two coats. Btw, I use super glue as a sealer. Generally one coat us enough!
  5. Azek PVC trim board, you can get it at hardware store!
  6. Just a tip on storage, I pour it into ball canning jars. I then spray adhesive glue onto the inside of the lid and place some aluminum foil inside. The gst will eat away the rubber sealer on the lids, and it falls into the gst, if it is not protected.
  7. which brand? I was getting some wrinkles with the gst, but I found out I was not heating up the paint long enough!
  8. I have a three wheeled craftsman, and yes I have replaced the blade a couple times. But they only cost 8$. I bought the saw on Craigslist for 30$ two years ago.
  9. Thanks Tater. Have you noticed any yellowing with the 20 min?
  10. Tater, do you like the 20 minute better than the 30? I use the 30 min but was considering trying the 20. Thanks
  11. I use those same lips, never had one crack. They are hard to tune though. Just make sure it's straight and don't worry about it! I just glue them in with 30 minute epoxy.
  12. I get bob smith epoxy at hobby town USA.

Begs, the gst concrete sealer is a really good top coat for hard plastic baits. Just wait a week to fish it!
  14. Little river, that's a great story! I started four years ago making plastics. I was tired of spending money buying sweet beavers, I didn't realize the molds were so difficult to find. But I made a few other plastic lures and soon started reading the hard bait section. I realized I had all the tools to make a crankbait and made my first one. It swam like crap and I realized how difficult it was. So I just bought some kos. Three years later I have figured out a couple types of lures I can make that actually swim and sell a few on ebay!
  15. I don't use the super glue as a topcoat, I use it as a sealer. I like to stick a bras nail into the rear hook hanger and apply using the tip of the bottle and cover lure past the belly hanger, then stick nail into the belly hanger and finish the lure. I use extreme power thin glue from hobby lobby. It's 4.99 and I can seal approximately 100 lures with it!
  16. I like the alligator clips also. It allows me to clip to the line ties if I need to.
  17. Bob smith is similar to devcon.
  18. Quickest sealer I've seen is thin super glue!
  19. Good job, you will just keep getting better!
  20. Here's what I've found. There is one type of stencil paper that works really well for heat setting. All the other ones I tried actually just wrinkled up.
