    Dn Storage

I ruined a lot of lures and wasted a few bucks on DN. I can't figure out how to dip lures and not have issues with storage and clumping DN. I just scoop out the big clump every time I dip, spray in the bloc then. Storing the mason jar upside down seemed to help. Good luck, Rob Bloc is bloxygen!
  2. I think the super glue will brown around the eyes! Just guessing though.
  3. I use the blue double sided duct tape from Walmart to hold the two halves together.
  4. I learned this weekend! Do not get the stencil too tight! It will certainly scratch your lure.
  5. Nice, let us know how it works! Rob
  6. My wife got her toes all painted up this weekend. The design got me thinking back to lures again just curious if anybody else has heard of this stuff. She said the last heated it up with a lamp and sticks it on. For those of you who don't like toes, cover your eyes!
  7. Thanks everyone for the tips. Rob
  8. I just started trying to fish using a drop shot rig. I know I am a bit late to that game! Anyways, I have a shakey head mold that I want to use to make drip shot weights. I am crimping 16 gauge wire and using it for a line tie. Do normal drop shot weights have some sort of swivel? Rob
  9. Anybody have any tips on how to get eyes like poes or bagleys onto a lead jig head? I will be using powder paint. I'm thinking a straw dipped into the powder? Has anybody ever mixed powder paint with water, or any other liquid? Thanks, Rob

    Bloxegyn

It should feel empty, I don't like the stuff personally! I can't tell when the can is empty.

    Rattles

I use 5/16" brass tubing that I cut into 1/4" pieces. I put the cut tubing onto frisket paper, place one drop of super glue into tube, and spray with super glue accelerant. Then just add a bb for rattle. Works great!
  12. Thanks! I was at the sporting good store and saw a live target frog and decided to try and make one. It turned out really nice and walks great!
  13. I can not figure out how to post pics in the gallery! So here is my latest version, slap me for posting it if you want mods, Thanks
  14. I have painted about 50 lures with solarez, and these are the first two that did this. I'm thinking I did something different that caused this. I will try dipping in acetone next time
  15. I sealed it with two coats of solarez, and used white createx as base coat. Hear set every color
  16. Sorry I meant heat. I took a couple pics of one of the lures. The other one I threw away! You can kind of see the bubble herei used a razor to pop the skin, the paint peeled back like an egg shell. The paint did not adhere to the lure for some reason
  17. I did not hear the solarez, I used all createx paints. Not really sure what happened!
  18. Last night I painted up six lures, two out of the six had a air bubble about the size of a dime on the side of the lure. It was the first time this has happened and not sure what happened. I cut one lures "skin" to see what it looked like. And it was just an air pocket. Any ideas?
  19. Thanks, I guess I'm out 4$. I only bought it because it looked pretty!
  20. Got this at ace hardware today. Has anybody used it and will it rust? thanks
  21. Thanks for the help, I am just messing around so don't plan on buying a bunch of extra stuff. When I built it I had considered adding about an inch long twisted wire to the hook eye to get the hook farther towards the rear. So I probably should have done that! Also I was hoping like you said that the weight of the lure would get it to mash down the weeds, which might lead to more strikes? And I may add another screw eye to the rear, which I could attach a rubber band to the hook to help with snags! Again thanks everyone. Rob
