I have never used, or even seen a glide bait! At least not that I know of. Will they work for bass? Anybody have a picture of one? How do they work? Sorry about the dumb questions but I've been wondering how they work! Rob

The only color I don't really like it on is black. The waxy build up stands out much more, but other than that I like it!

Mark, I tried putting glitter on with clear nail polish last year on some lures! But I noticed it really turned brown after a couple months. Have you had this happen to your lures?

I have been using it on balsa. As a seal and top coat. However I live in NE so it's ice season right now. It seems to be a great product. I would buy the 30$ nail dryer personally. It can be used when cold and when it's dark! I have been sealing then painting, then coat with solarez. But since its winter, I have been using one coat of bob smith to finalize the lure. I think it looks better than solarez. But if I was in a hurry I would certainly use a lure finished with solarez!

It dries hard as a rock, I know that! Not sure how deep it soaks into the wood.

Also if you cure the baits anywhere near the nail dryer it will start curing! Best to black out the container IMO!

Bass100, I did the same thing with the mason jar. I also bought a ketchup dispensing bottle and filled it 1/2 way for using small amounts. So when sealing the wood I just squirt a bit on the bait and brush it in.

Rowingadubay, I'm not saying it won't work. I just tried it and it did not look good. But it was just on a white paper plate.

I tried putting some on a paper plate, and turned a blow dryer on it. It caused it to wrinkle up. So I didn't try it on a lure!

Nathan, I tried both ways. What seemed to work best was dipping the lure, let drip for 6 or so minutes. Then stick it in the light. Really easy dries hard, but does leave a hazy finish, but not really obvious. I don't sell baits so it works good for me though!

Sorry, because I just got my nail dryer about 3 hours ago! So I have not built any new lures. I just dipped ones I had. The blue gill I had to paint the back and belly. I wrote my name and dipped it! Looks good so far. Rob

I tried dipping a lure that was finished with bob smith epoxy. I dipped it and let it drip for 5 min. Then cured it in nail dryer. It looks just as shiney as it did before. Will try it on I coated lure later!

I buy mine at lowes. It is 1/8" and I think it's too thick. But I'm cheap and won't pay an online store for shipping. So I use 1/8"
