  1. I put it in clear plastic ketchup bottles from Wally World. Work great and cost a buck
  2. Did you catch any fish, would be number one!
  3. cougar, i have been having the same problems with dick nite. the only color that seems to bleed is red. I have even waited for two days before I dipped the lure, and still bled.
  4. They make a alabama rig mold. There was another thread on it a couple months ago. It was like 20$.
  5. I simply weigh the two bottles when they are new. The etex hardener weighs something like 220g and the resin weighed about 200. So when I make a batch I mix 1.1g hardener and 1..gd resin. I also put the etex in the clear ketchup squezz bottles from waly world.
  6. My advise is to get a digital scale from harbor freight. Cost like ten bucks, and never have to worry about bad mixes
  7. I have heard duster in a can works....but I'm not sure, never tried it.
  8. I ordered some on thursday, and received it yesterday. Tried my first lure with it by dipping it and was very happy with the results. Did get some bleeding on the red gills, but I think it was because I didn't dry it good enough before dipping. Thanks DN!
  9. Thanks for the response, I actually found some on grainger's website. It is 11$ a can but I can just walk in and buy it.
  10. Ordering now......but before I do. can I buy bloxygen from your site? Or somewhere else?
  11. Hobbytownusa sells bob smith
  12. 1.1 grams hardner to 1.0 grams resin. Works for me!
  13. This one? http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/15916-pvc-trim-board-shad-swimbait/
  14. Question #1 I use Bob Smiths 30 min epoxy. But d2t and etex work well. DN may take awhile to get an order. Question #2 .041 wire from harbor Freight. Question #3 I seal my lures in Bob Smiths, d2t and etex!
  15. Cheap airbrush at hrborfreight for 20$. Mediocre brush at hobby lobby, iawata Neo for 40$. Paint createx or folk art at Walmart!
  16. Welcome to TU. My first suggestion would be to post this in the wire baits section. They probably no more about painting lead lures. As far as paint goes, it sounds like you would probably need to use powder paint. You can paint them with acrylic paint and seal with devcon, but powder will hold up better. Good luck, Rob

    Filler

Ben, thank you for the tips! I did notice it does not work on gorilla glue! I'm glad I picked up some CA glue when I bought it!

    Filler

I found it at hobbytown. Thanks
  19. Just to see how big they are I put one on a 1.5" bait I am making!
  20. Well here is what I have just tried. I needed some super glue accelerater, so I stopped at hobbytown and got some. Took it to work, and it works really good. Anyways, I took a piece of label stuff that is like a sticker. Clored it red, and used a big hole punch to cut it out. Colored the pupil. Dropped about 10 drops of CA glue and hit it with accelerater. It actually looks pretty good. And it stayed round, as opposed to flattening out. Rob

Ben, where do you buy the accelerator. I want some for when I glue in my hangers and lips. I always get to anxious to test the lure in the tub, and the water turns the glue white!
