    Solarez

Ive tried two different lights that I bought on ebay, and two different flashlights from ebay, and they all cured my solarez. I think its a bad batch, and not the light.

    Solarez

Whenever I drill large holes to put the ballast weights in, the solarez breaks up around the hole.

    Solarez

The sanding sealer is a solarez product. I shine the flashlight on the lure while it is still turning on the turner. This eliminates the sagging, that occurs when the lure is taken off the turner while still wet. Because the flashlight hardens the solarez while it is on the turner

    Solarez

Heres my opinion based on a bit of trial and error. I only use solarez to seal lures. Ive tried the lo voc gloss finish and hate it. For some reason it dries tacky and gums up the sand paper. The polyester sanding sealer I really like. It dries hard as a rock and is still pretty shiny. I heat up the solarez in a pan with water so its fairly runny. Then dip the lure and let the excess run off. Put it on a turner for 5 minutes. Before i stop the turner I shine the Uv flashlight on it as it turns. This sets the solarez to avoid the sagging, and then I put it in a light box for 5 minutes.
  11. I make lures for myself only, so Im not overly concerned about having hooks in stock, or with blazing fast delivery. For me this is just a hobby. I do live in Nebraska so if possible I order from Zeiner's, simply because I get my order in two days 90 % of the time. The last order from Capt hooks was for 3 types of hooks, all common eagle claw hooks, not mustads. And it took 10 days. If it seems like I am bashing captainhooks I apologize, just stating my experiences Ive had recently.
  12. Just an fyi, I placed an order on the 4th and recieved it on the 14th. So 10 days!
