  1. Paint with acrylic. Then dip in gst
  2. I initially heat the jig for 8 seconds and dip it in the base coat. It should be hot enough for the paint to stick to the lead but not smooth over. Then heat again for about 15 seconds which will smooth the paint out. Then spray the top color and repeat for the bottom. The key is to get the jig really hot when you spray it.
  3. Heres one i made tonight....all powder with the 260
  4. Im fairly sure they the same rings that SU sells. They are somewhat hard to push onto the plastic skirt tool. But i honestly have never broke any. I tried using them in the skirt expander tool but i couldnt open the rings far enough to get the skirts through.
  5. I use a badger 260(mini sandblaster)to airbrush my spinnerbaits. I use powder paint with it. I dip the lead into to main color. Then spray the tops and bottoms with whatever colors i decide.
  6. It really makes the skirt flare..
  7. This is how i use the o ring to make removeable skirts.
  8. Hobby lobby now sells bob smith. By the model cars. I can coat about 3 lures with 30 minute before it gets too thick. I can get 6 with the 20 min
  9. I prefer the bob smith 20 minute. It actually has a much longer working time than the 30 minute. It goes on more like etex.
  10. Im confused...how would 2 drops of black make a gold vein?
  11. I do. They are pretty simple to make. I buy the smallest rubber grommet that ace hardware carries. I use really small o rings as skirt bands. Put the skirt and o ring on the skirt tool. Then slip it off the tool onto the grommet. I slip a rivot into the center hole of the grommet. If im really bored i powder paint the rivot.
  12. Bob la londe is selling a mold to make them on ebay.
  13. I went ahead and ordered 2000 o rings they were 5$ per 500. The shipping was 18$....which is insane. If anybody is interested i will sell 500 for 10$. Skirts unlimited sells them 5$ for 50. They are the same o rings. Also i put them on after i wire tie the skirt. The ring is really tight on the skirt collar and flares out the skirt when you push the o ring up tight
  14. Hobbytownusa carries bob smith so does hobby lobby
  15. Does anybody fish this lure? I just got this mold and Im curious how you rig it. I tried using a 1/0 swimbait hook but do not like how it swims.
  16. I get balsa at hobby lobby
  17. I didnt like the 30 minute epoxy from hobby lobby. It clumped up really fast and was much more difficult than devcon. Hobby lobby does sell envirotex. I prefer the bob smith 20 minute epoxy from hobbytownusa
  18. Im so confused....bts dels and basstackle sell a top pour senko mold that makes perfectly round senkos. You dont need an injector to make them. There is a difference between top pour and open pour. Simply select the top pour option when asked.
