  1. Posting this for a friend 3 of Bears 4.5" Hollow Body Swimbait Molds $210.00 Shipped to your door if purchased as a lot $70 each plus shipping if purchased individually send a pm for contact details.
  2. if you get a 2 piece hand pour BH mold, you will have to pour the tails then close the mold and pour the rest and hope that the side wings fill out. your best option in that bait if you want a 2 piece is injection, then the bait will fill properly every time. check the Bears Baits site, they have the Brush Hopper which is pretty darn close.
  3. somehow hi doubt that LOL anyway Pigdestroyer, thats who owns the molds
  4. Those i believe are custom molds Dale (DM Custom Baits) had made PowerWorm wouldnt really want to copy someone elses work.
  5. done that, its because it has more surface area than the BT brass rods. and the brass is polished. a little worm oil on bears inserts helps a ton as well.
  6. i own three different hollow body molds. they all shoot great. the slick shad (i think) and the pot belly from basstackle i havent fished yet, but they look like they will fish great. the rods are fairly easy to remove as well. Bears i have been fishing for the last year. it can be a little more difficult to remove the insert. it also fishes awesome. i like how much easier the basstackle rods are to remove from the bait, but, they only leave a little hollow cavity (which seems like enough to let the bait collapse), where as bears is a little harder to remove the insert, it make the same type of hollow cavity the basstrix baits have and performs very well. none of the baits look like a dipped bait out of the mold. i paint them, put eyes on them, then dip in clear. after the dip they look close to a true dipped bait
  7. Both Lams and swirls are 100% achievable injecting. i switched to injection for stick baits, the biggest advantage i found is that i can produce 2.5 time the quantity in the same amount of time with 5 fewer cavities. it really comes down to preference. i prefer to inject them, you might prefer to pour them. here is a pic from another site, these baits are from bear's 5.5" fat stick (injection)
  8. not from what i have been told. its just a plain ring worm

just making a copy of the bait is all it takes to violate a patent, whether you sell it or not.

how is it silly, he asked how they are made, they are made in a rotational mold. it is great that you have figured out a low cost way of making them.
  11. no. they buy up front at a discounted wholesale price(usually 35%-40% off retail). when i deliver baits i either walk out of the store with cash/cheque or baits.
  12. if you are looking into mass production you better call Zorn and look into their machines. single colours from what i can gather you can produce just as much hand injecting compared to Bears machine. it is designed to use their current hand injection molds, and i have even heard bear state that it was designed for the hobbiest. best bet is to call both bear and zorn and discuss your needs.

sorry, rotational mold. not spincast. mold is rotated to coat the walls of the mold evenly.

  17. Yes, use a drill and paint mixer, make sure you get it thoroughly mixed first, then take what you need out of it.
  18. www.bearsbaits.com he has pvc eyes that will stick on with mend it or spike its soft bait glue
  19. make sure your temps are close to each other, use an infrared thermometer.
  20. who told you that? Make sure the plastic is well mixed and get your self an infrared thermometer and make sure you are hitting the 350 degree range when heating.
  21. Taken directly from the WD40 website "What a Fish story!Myth: WD-40 contains fish oil. Fact:Consumers have told us over the years that they have caught some of the biggest fish ever after protecting their fish hooks and lures withWD-40. We believe this legend came from folks assuming that the product must contain fish oil since it appears to attract fish. Sorry Charlie®, it just ain’t so. WD-40 Company has taken steps to respect and conserve the environment, and encourages its users to do the same. While WD-40can be used to help protect fishing equipment from rust and corrosion, WD-40 Company does not recommend using WD-40 to attract fish." http://www.wd40.com/...ends-fun-facts/
  22. let me see, a user came here and asked if anyone had the recipes to 2 colours and you told him that you dont give out your recipes and he should just figure it out himself, how is that helping him, or doing anything but boost your ego. didnt you just get banned from another forum for this kind of thing? never mind, dont answer that, we've hijacked this thread enough sorry doc, but i will concur with Pitbull Baits
