  1. way over thinking it Dave. Far easier to chamfer the injector tip with a file
  2. here is what i did Jim, Softener. drip softener on the surfaces that rub and work the snot out of them, i ran across the same thing with a couple molds, used some softener and now they have been working free for over a year without a reapplication.
  3. my method has already been posted over on bears forum. on the mold, i was just stating a fact, plain and simple, you are the one that is making a huge deal out of it, not me. Frank, i did want to thank you though, i borrowed your hot plate idea and it works wonders. Thanks
  4. hurt feelings? no need to get your panties in a bunch Jim. Lets see here, you mentioned a slot in CCM's molds to stick a screwdriver into to pop the mold open right? i said nothing about the hinge, i know where CHRIS got that idea. and no it wasnt an attack on his molds either, your trying to turn it into one, if i wanted to turn this into an attack i would list the issues i had with his molds but this isnt the place for it. back to the topic Franks video does indeed show that he has worked out a method that works for him. it didnt work for me, its all i was saying.
  5. One Frog Mold sold. I still have one left at $70 Shipped.
  6. replied to your pm, sorry i didnt catch it earlier
  7. simmer down a bit, wasnt knocking his molds at all, just stating a fact that the little slot in his molds was actually copied it self. i have actually at one time owned all the above molds as well as a few others. as far as 2 color production goes, Bear's original adaptor set up with the med injectors, i find its far easier to manoeuvre the whole set up. I found that once i learned to use it properly it produces quite consistent laminates.
  8. CCM's basic mold design is Chris/Bears. he just changed the hinge
  9. it was literally just released for sale Jim, may wanna give it a few i do like that it is hinged and there are no screws to play with. but i think i will keep the 2 colour set up that i have (not sure yet)
  10. thanks for posting this frank, i really wanted to see the Fat Boy set up.
  11. I have 2 2cav BassTackle/Bob's Buzz Frog Molds $70 Each Shipped http://www.Basstackle.com/product_p/bfrog.htm
  12. you want to use the paint sold by lurecraft for those stripes and such instead of the colourants. the paint will actually dry

    Stick Baits

he also has a FAT version at 5.5" i believe
  14. you could buy direct from either Inpact or Johnson but they both require you to buy 1000 - 2000 bags at once. if you are looking for less, like maybe a hundred or 2 you best option is Lure Craft at $14.75 per 100 7"x4" bags
  15. you probably got it from mike right? lure craft's is a liquid and takes a bit more, calhouns is real thick and doesnt take as much. but that sounds close.
  16. Thanks again for all the molds yesterday Mike, appreciate it, Tell Rory it was nice meeting him as well.

    Flake Problem

i have a few divided cups that see regular use in the microwave that are split using a piece of aluminum held in with high temp RTV. no problems so far, and ive been using them the last year or so myth busters have already done a show on microwaves and determined the "Metal in the microwave" myth as busted. a little search on the forum for divided cups will show that people have been using aluminum as the divider for quite some time.

    Flake Problem

if you actually read the post Jacobsbaits, it has the exact reason why the flake sparked "it all has to do with reflectability thats makes the mirco waves bounce" what that has to do with colour i dont know. basically, if you place a piece of very shiny and reflective plastic in the nuker, you will get the same result.
