  1. yes it is an injection mold.
  2. Shoot Kevin at BassTackle an email, he has always been willing to work with me on molds. Of the options i would use Kevin or Bear myself.
  3. The 1.75" tube mold you see is the body, you can re -configure them with different bodies and tails. you can use the body of the 3.5" and the tails of the 4" to make a 3.75" tube if you wish

    Cad

shouldn't be an issue with sending a cad file, as long as the file format is compatible with their cam software. with cnc the cad file isn't sent to the machine, it is used to write a cam, or, cut file which tells the machine where to cut and what tool to use. you will want to check with the machinist before spending the time to draw the bait in cad.
  5. M-F doesnt come from Bear when you are injecting those very small baits you have to go slow, make sure your plastic is in the 330 range and inject slow. if your plastic is too hot you will get bubbles and if you inject too fast you will get bubbles also.
  6. still up and running http://reactioninnovations.com/box/
  7. caney creek molds is updating their website to include a shopping cart so you can buy direct from them, lowering the overall cost of the molds for us. Bear is also bringing a CNC mill in house as well, so in time once everything gets worked out he will be offering his own molds.
  8. I have 2 Buzz Frog molds for sale, they came from Bob's Tackle Shack. They cost $210.00 plus shipping new. $140.00 shipped for both PM for further details.
  9. make up a small batch of your GP, add your blue flake and get your dirty watermelon, now, instead of getting PO'd at it, ad one drop at a time of red to the mix until you have the shade you are looking for
  10. even if you only get one fish per craw, if your making them your self you are paying a fraction of the cost of the rage craws. depending on what quantities you buy plastic in you should be able to get at least 10 for the cost of one rage craw.
  11. The Rage Craws are patented and as such you cannot even make them for personal use. here is a couple molds with a killer claw action Basstackle.com - http://www.Basstackle.com/product_p/375crawmold2cav.htm Bearsbaits.com - http://www.bearsbait...-Dad_p_189.html http://www.bearsbait...5quot_p_34.html
  12. bears motoroil is a changeable colour. it will flip from that new oil amber to green
  13. here is a pic with some key areas to look at, you can see that the hollow section extends down past the dip showing the wire was in fact inserted into the actual bait. just my take on this based on what i can see.
  14. you can clearly see the hollow spot left by a wire in the bait itself, leaving the green inside the original bait, eyes added and dipped in clear.
  15. look at the pics very close and you can see the hollow left by the thin wire used.
  16. Frank is right Jim, no inserts included with that mold, you would have to slightly mod the mold to fit a very small rod to get that core colour
  17. Calhoun is all i use, it has an odour to it, but i find M-F to be the worse for smell. Calhoun also comes with i believe the most heat stabilizer in it right from the factory, i have only scorched one batch and that was my first a few years ago. I have had it in a pot running for almost an hour and a half without it turning on me. as far as the tip on Bears injectors, no there is no pin, and if you ask me none is needed. all it takes is a little common sense when using it, if you try to empty the injector without securing the tip with a GLOVED finger or resting on the bottom of the cup you are going to loose the tip in the plastic. I have been using Bear's injectors well over a year now (own all of them) and i have had one tip pop off, the first time i used the injector.
  18. bears, basstackles, and dels injectors will work with bear's, basstackles, dels and k-molds/Lurecraft's injection molds. they all have a 5/8 opening.
  19. most of the current injectors were modelled after Bear's as well
  20. i have 10 of the 5.25 stick molds myself. very easy to shoot, even laminates with the 2 colour injectors. if you plan on getting more than one you're going to want the large injector. the med can only fill a single mold, large can fill 3. plastic, salt etc is all personal preference. for colours see the recipe thread, lots of good ones in there. for sticks i will use 4 parts plastic, 2 parts salt, 1 part softener, so 1 cup soft plastic, 1/2 cup salt, 1/4 cup softener
  21. Get ahold of Bear at www.bearsbaits.com and ask about the stick bait kit, it will have everything (plastic, colour, flake, injector, mold etc) you need to start injecting stick baits (senko's)
  22. all that detail is in the person programming the cutter paths. 2 people can take the same CAD files and create different looking baits based on what cutters they use and the paths they choose.
  23. we have a large steelhead (rainbow) fisherie here and the tributaries here will look like a zoo come spring and fall. figured if i could have him make them i could make my own hand made eggs
  24. i would have to say Bear's 4.25 kodiac and Hollow Swimbait. then the Trout Worm, Paddletail and egg molds Kevin @ Basstackle designed for me
