  1. most likely pearl, those i believe are poured cold with something like spike-it's gel-a-lure and then heated. there was talk about a large company producing baits like that and i believe it is Robo
  2. with the proper stirring set up and watching temp with an infrared thermometer you should be able to keep plastic going for an hour or so without much issue.

  4. here yall go for those that wanted to see it. yes you can shoot a single colour with it, just load and run one pot or load both with the same colour for a 2 gallon capacity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5Xa03QAhnY&feature=player_embedded

    Opaque Baits

depending on the amount of plastic start with 2-5 drops white and go from there. you will have to add extra red to counter the white though.
  6. thats right, if you have 2 complete pots you only need the main part for $500. unless you want to add the ventilation covers, i guess they make venting the pots very easy
  7. Calhoun soft, you can get it from Bears Baits.
  8. figured i would start a new post before things went south. here is a new post from today from Bear regarding his new 2 colour injector
  9. you may have a hard time finding someone to "pour" on a large scale for a good price. Carolina Mike owns Carolina Baits, an injection manufacturer. you would have to have molds built to spec for his machines ($4k - 10K each depending on the mold) and then Mike would manufacture the baits for you at an agreed price per thousand.
  10. Bear can be a "bear" to get a hold of at times because he spends a great deal of time at the CNC mill making molds for all of us. the presto pots he builds will hold a gallon at a time. the stirring units attached work incredibly well at keeping glitter and salt suspended. Bear is probably one of the most honest of the mold suppliers we have working for us, and there has never been a problem with any of my orders with him. as far as the yellowing plastic, keep an eye on temperature and how long you have it heated for. you will want the temp as low as your process will tolerate and you want to use your plastic as fast as you can.
  11. will be out soon is all i got. he doesnt want to rush it. the unit is completed and has been working great for a few weeks now, but he doesnt want to release it without having a good supply on hand. when Bear is ready he will let it out, keep an eye on his website.
  12. now im stoked to see this thing released, ive been asked not to give details but from what i just heard about it i really cant wait. very affordable (think far less than jacobs press) will handle both single and 2 colour. if everything works like i have been told it does it will be very consistent as well.
  13. Kajan is right. Bear does have a 2 colour bench top machine on his site now (around $5k), but hold off, there is a more economical solution coming very soon from him for 2 colour use.
  14. last a couple weeks ago it was $1500.00 better be a lot better for an extra grand.
  15. thats a laminate not a swirl
  16. i think you just hit the nail right square on the head
  17. dont stir it while you are dipping. you will have far better results. i think you are over complicating it a bit.
  18. we are already beyond first base with 2 colour machine, its getting refined, easier to use and simpler to make it more affordable from what i understand
  19. i mentioned it solely because someone mentioned multi-colour, currently from jacobs it is single colour only, and i saw the post on bears about a new 2 colour unit and figured i would post it.
  20. what temps are you measuring?
  21. bass tackle will have the closest
  22. lots make lizzards, and there are a ton of molds on the market, but you are being too picky i think, as i dont think any will copy a zoom bait as close as you want.
  23. i would hold off a couple weeks just to see what Bear has up his sleeve here. here is a post from the other day on his forum. "Patience is a Virtue with the 2 color Injection process. And The Reality is almost here. Within 3 weeks we will be debuting a new 2 color Injector that will make all of you go wow. All I will say at the moment is that it works with the presto pots and they do not require cleaning or stopping once you begin the injection process. Do not ask any more questions about them as I will not answer. But we be will once again Changing the way you make plastic baits. So get ready and get your money saved up. We are trying to get the price together now but if all goes according to plans they will be very affordable versus a bench top injection machine. This is the most excited I have been about a product to date.!! It has the WOW Factor"
