  1. You have nothing to worry about from an availability perspective, the rewards program is not going away, neither is the forum, you can read my statement and answers on the forum and Do-it's comments on our home page. If you have any concerns you can call me just like normal. Jason
  2. They were focused on end consumers and cured products. So are the links below. Do you think working with the raw product is safer? If a company is going to use phthalates they should disclose which ones they are using as some are more dangerous than others - hence the bans in the US and EMEA. 3. This is a great question. The true answer is only time will tell. With that said, we test every single mold we send out before it leaves our shop. Doing so has resulted in 2 returns in 18 months. We have the same process in place for the plastic. Prior to receiving the plastic we receive a sample of the batch. We test it prior to releasing the batch. Once we receive it we break it down and test it again. I can assure you of one thing, we are in the business of catching fish and making you happy. I am 110% not in business to pay shipping fees for returns, or have people upset. Does that mean we won't have a problem? It would be foolish to say we never will. However, we should never have a big problem. Does this additional testing add to the cost? No, it reduces the cost. It is infinitely cheaper for us to test the way we do than to incur the cost of returns and re-shipping. As a side note, MF is a great product and we carry it as well. Our plans are not changing to carry it as we move forward. Robert and Jeff are top notch! Jason
  4. Pricing, quantities and other details have been posted on our site. Release Information Thanks for your patience. Jason
  5. Hi Tim, The same question was asked on our site. Here is the response: It is absolutely coming out in larger sizes that will cost less (larger quantity = less labor, the packaging is hardly any different, but the shipping goes up). With that said, I think we will be very competitive and will continue to look for ways to reduce cost. This first batch to the masses is really more of a final validation vs. the official launch of the plastic. That's the main reason it's being offered in 1 gallon sizes. It's enough plastic someone can truly evaluate it and decide before they jump out and purchase 5 - 10 gallons. It's kind of the same principal we use with sample baits. We want you to be happy, and if your not, it's in both our interest to find out for as little as possible, as soon as possible. Hopefully that makes sense. I don't want to seem secretive, but once it's officially launched I think it will be apparent the extent we have gone to - to make it competitive with other plastics on the market. It won't be the cheapest, but in most cases I don't think it will be the most expensive either. Thanks, Jason
  6. I forgot to say why I think it was an appropriate post and not hijacking. I think it was appropriate because it will work universally, not just on one companies molds. This post was slanting towards having to sell all your molds, and I thought it was relevant information to the original post that other options will be available. jb
  7. CCM is not building an injection machine. We are working with and providing information about our molds and how they are used to someone who is. I hope / anticipate selling it, but in no way have any commitment or agreement on exclusivity. I would expect as a business they would allow others to sell it??? We are working with them, helping where we can by providing information, providing molds, feedback, etc. It definitely isn't hijacking any technology. Was me posting this appropriate? I think it was. You can make your own decision and I won't be offended either way. Jason
  8. I've heard there is another injection machine being developed that is universal, adapting to any mold. It supposedly shoots plastic with salt as well. That's all the detail I have at this point, other than they should be available mid this year. Tight lines! Jason
  9. I'm not sure what beaver bait you are poring but if you just want it to be more durable - have you tried dipping it in hard plastic? I do this with frogs, tubes, etc. Just pour a medium / soft bait, then dip it in hard. It makes it very durable but keeps the bait soft in the fishes mouth. The fish will hold the bait for a long time. I know several others who use this technique as well and it works great. Just to save the effort of an experiment - if you try this - don't dip small appendages. It will either melt them off, or create a blob. Either way you end up with a mess - so I've heard ; ) So on the Beaver maybe you could just dip the body??? If you were doing two colors, dipping can also prevent cold cracking between the two colors.. Here's what the frog looks like (notice the legs are not dipped):
  10. I think it would be a great way to get kids involved. From what I've heard it is safe with adult supervision. I know how I feel catching fish off baits I make, imagine how a young person would feel. It would probably give them a huge sense of accomplishment. Give it a try and let us know how it works. Tight lines, Jason
