  6. Thanks cadman. big will's customs I was just texting my buddy that kept talking about this guy in Jacksonville that makes jigs. Let me know if you ever need any help painting something. I don't know much but I'll be more than happy to help if I can. Keep up the good work! !!!

    Hickory Shad!!

Took my boys out for some shad fishing this past weekend. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing my sons have so much fun enjoying the outdoors!!
  11. Thanks man. We are in the middle of our Hickory Shad run in the rivers. There will be millions of baby shad in the creeks and if you ain't throwing a shad pattern your odds of catching bass are slim.

    Mad Craw LC

Thanks guys. My buddy wants it bad but I think he'll have to wait for the next batch;) lol
  13. The air temps will cause this problem for sure. I've been waiting for it to warm up some to order any new paints. I'm worried that they'll freeze while being shipped. Hurry up spring time!!!
  14. Thanks Jaw. I definitely like the black under coat when doing scale patterns more so than the white. It really makes them stand out much better.
  15. Thanks for the tip Richard. Now if I can just find some smaller jig skirts that I like...............
  16. Thanks piratefishing. Don't you just love our NC weather? LOL
  17. Wasn't really sure where /who to ask about this but here it is. I purchased some texas rig worm weights that you can put a jig skirt on and I just need em painted black. I paint crankbaits but don't do any powder painting on lead. Can I just paint them black and dip them in a regular clear coat to do the job or is that not going to work? They don't have to be perfect as they are just for my personal use. Thanks .......... Joe
  18. Thanks Hokieangler. It's similar to the old mirrolure pinfish with a little more "bling" added to it.lol I hope the new owner catches some nice Redfish with it.Even though these WB blanks are not through wire constructed they are pretty tough. I tested some out by hanging about 30lbs of weight on 3 of them over night and only had one fail. Thet should hold up on slot size reds pretty good. A 50lb bull red may be a different story but we don't see them very much in our shallow water fishing. Mostly a live and cut bait deep water fishery for them here in NC. I painted some speck lures this color and they absolutely love it . It's become one of my favorite speckled trout color patterns! !!
  19. Thanks guys. Your welcome mzee. That's something I'm going to start doing with all my painting so I'll have a record of it. LOL I'm bad about not writing down the paint schedules for new patterns. Let me know if you need any help trying to put it all together. Take care......... Joe
