  7. bassguy I haven't had any problems with the cheap brushes coming apart while in use. I always gently pull on the bristles to make sure they are sucure. I picked up this habit when I was using the cheap acid brushes from harbor freight. I did have problems with those coming apart.

Thanks guys. Hokie that's just dang funny! "Crawdashian" hahahaha. I may have to name this pattern that. LOL
  9. If they're just your personal lures you could just send em to Dutch Fork custom lures. They can chrome any color you want. Not sure what process they use but they guarantee it not to fade away or peel off like most factory lures do. I talked with them on the phone a while back and they seemed like nice enough folks. I think there chrome lure prices are $9 each with a discount for multiple lures in the same color. If you only want a hand full it would definitely be cheaper than buying a whole chrome plating setup.
  10. Arkie that's exactly what I do. Cheap, no brush cleaning and break off the handle to mix the next batch.

Thanks. It was one of those you just start painting with no game plan. A bass should eat it......they'll eat anything that moves!! lol

Just playing around with more colors on this one.
  13. I use scotch brite pads and sometimes wet sand with very fine sandpaper. Be careful and avoid getting water inside the blank when wet sanding. Some have small holes around the hook hangers that can leak. On a one knocker I've had a couple of the weights get stuck from this happening. I always seal around the hangers first now with super glue just to be sure.
  14. Gon2long that's a real Little John MD I posted in the gallery. Seems all the blanks for sale sink with epoxy so I've never used the ko's. Our local tackle shop put right many LJ's in the discount box for $6 so we bought em all. Seemed like a great deal to me cause they sure do catch fish around here. Does that Fat pappa work good? Been wanting to try em just haven't gotten to it yet.
  15. Thanks Ben. I'm envious of your building sklills. Tried building some lures but they never come out right. Think I'll stick with painting for now. LOL
  16. Great looking jerk bait Ben! Should do well with this one.

    Carp

Nice looking swim baits you got there.
  18. Thanks Hokie! Createx and mixtures of Paint with Pearl powders. Loving that stuff!!
  19. Thanks guys. Caught about a dozen on this one today. The jack's seem to like also. Caught several of them as well. Felt good to catch a few bass after all the bad weather conditions we've had here in NC.
  20. Thanks! Going to get em wet in a just a few minutes
