  1. Superhide White is what I use also. No problems other than the fact that Mckenzie Taxidermy burnt my hide on the shipping cost.

Thanks! I used paint with pearls violet shimmer mixed with a clear base over the black back. That stuff is way cool to use and makes the lures really pop! Thanks for the tip fatfingers!!!!

    For Mom

Thanks guys. Good to have her back on her feet. It was a long recovery but she pulled through like a champ. Now I got to make one for my wife's mom too. She had her battle a few years back and has been doing great ever since. Sure wish they can find a cure....

    For Mom

Mom's been having a hard time for the last several months but she's cancer free now!!!! She asked me for a pink lure so this is what I came up with. She likes it and I'm glad it made her happy. Couldn't have painted this without all the great help on this site and for that I thank you all.... Joe

It sure is purdy! It's been killing me to know how they do that. Ordered 3 colors of powder today. Time to get of my butt and paint some more. Thanks again for the tip!!!

Great work always!! What's the pearl paint for the scales? It really makes the lure stand out.
  9. I sure ain't got no money so....LOL Hopefully this trout will hold a couple more days in our local speck tournament and I can collect a $$GRANDd$$!! Tournament end on Saturday at 12:30.....fingers crossed!!!!!
  10. Not this time. Mirrolure 27MR MG. A lady about a 100 yards away caught one 9.5lbs at the same time. It was one of those days when the big girls like to eat.

    You can't see me.

looks like the old school camo. Nice!!
  12. TEk if you can find a suspending lipless bait similar to a Mirrolure 17MR or a Rapala Twichin Rap I'll buy them !!!! lol. Nobody makes any KO lures for inshore fishing that I know of. Closest thing I have found is some small glide baits that come straight from China. They would be awesome cause they are the same size as the Strike Pro Baby Buster and cheaper. Only problem was you have to buy like 2000 of them which is little more than I need. Heck if someone could build me blanks from wood I would pay $$$$$. Seen a few wood blanks for sale for they're just a bit to heavy for my inshore speckled trout fishing needs. 3"-4" 1oz or less suspending or really slow sinking would be great but I have a feeling they just aren't available to small time folks like myself. Sorry for jacking the thread, I got a carried away. Happy Holiday's guys and gals!!............. Joe
  13. Looks great!! what type of white paint are you spraying for the first part of the scale detail before the color is added? My white paint always looks grainy. I've used Createx and Poly transpar and they always look the same.....Bad
  14. Not sure I could hang out with a crowd that pulls for those teams...LOL!!! Good job on the paints and logos.

    rotisserie

I recently redone my turner like this. It makes it so much easier to just clip the hemostats I use to hold the lures during painting right in the clothespins. I do recommend a piece of tape around the CP if you clip your hemostats in them during drying.....Not to cool when you check em in the moring and one of lures is stuck to the floor!!

    Baby Striper

Looks good to me. Stencils don't always make it look better... Nice job!
  17. Nice looking lure! If you don't mind me asking where do you get the scales from?
  18. You can also use the rubber roll out mat that's for you cabinets. It's a little bit different patter than the normal look. I been trying to figure out how to use the wire mesh use for auto body work. I'm trying to see if I can shape it to fit a lure kinda like a clam shell stencil does. Not having much luck on that so far but it does work great for doing foiled scale patterns. Solar made a video for that on u tube.
