Just playing around with some new stencils last night. Still have to add some 3d eyes. . Probably going to just paint them the glow color before i put em on. Belly linez came out a little fuzzy/ grainy on this one. Dropped my airbrush and bent the needle pretty good but got it straight enough to paint some last night. Will definitely pick up a new one today..........Joe -

Same to you guys as well. Been a great day around here today. Had my boys sit on stage with me while I played the drums in church this morning. We went and got our bellies full at Out back steak house and now I'm finishing up watching the US Open and maybe start clear coating some lures if I don't pass out first. LOL. Yeah I finish all my lures in etex. I always take my pics before clearing, I can never get rid of the glare. Pics came from a device I walk around with talking to people, getting on the web with and .....taking pictures in HD.....but I won't tell its a cell phone. LOL Galaxy S III

Thanks guys. It's the pearl light blue markings on the body that I think need some tweaking. I would like for em to stand out more. Maybe on the next one I'll paint all the details with white and then go back over them with the blue. Thanks again for the kind words and the confidence boost. My wife tells me I'm to hard hard on my self all the time.....Maybe she's right.. Don't tell her that though...LOL. Tight lines guys........Joe

First try at this pattern. Not real sure how I feel about it. Most all the detail work was done with a fine artists brush. What do guys think?

Easy to make. Craft scissors that cut patterns instead of straight lines. They got all kindsof them at the craft stores. Cut out a strip with whichever scissors and rap the bait and spray down the stencil cut line...heat set and line up the next one and so on. Try it out.......Joe -
Thanks Ben. I sure hope they do. Got a tournament Saturday morning if this tropical storm will blow through NC as fast as they say it will. Getting ready to start building some twitch baits like these Raps cause a little birdy told me they're going to discontinue them. Me and my buddy got around 300 stockpiled to hold us for a good while but now would be a good time start building my own. Maybe one day I'll have your building skills..........Joe

Thanks. It's not that difficult. Just cut out a stencil in the desired shape for the for the half circle part of the shell. Spray down the cut line of the stencil using the over spray to paint the line. Then I use a small flexible ruler and line the edge of the ruler up with the joint of the bottom shell pattern and rap it around the top of the lure. Using the same over spray technique shade in the lines from the side up over the back and down to the other side. Hope that helps some. If you need some more info feel free to ask. Dutch Fork lures can chrome em for you but it'll cost about $6 or more a lure. I'm sending them a large order mirrolures and some Rapalas I use for specks and reds. Talked with them on the phone a while back and they seem like good folks. As far as finding 1.5 cranks in chrome I've never seen any of them just the wake baits and 110 ko's. Maybe contact one of the US ko dealers and ask if they can get em made...............Joe
