  1. Understood. I have a bag of these blanks and just needed something to practice my RT pattern on. It's my first attempt at a trout. I have something much much larger that's in the works that I plan on putting a Rainbow pattern on. Was asked to paint some of the big 9" trout swim baits so I figured I'd need a few attempts before I tackle those beast. Now if I can just figure out how to spray those new soft plastic paints from Spike-It I'll be good to go. Putting more effort into that project than anything I've ever done.
  2. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and I don't have any issues on this site but I have had similar issues like you are having on other sites. I have yet to figure out the problem. I'll see if I can get some info from my buddy that works on computers. I have to call him on a regular basis...LOL
  3. I've seen guys use House Of Kolor Kosmic Krome with good results. The price has kept me away from it. You could aslo look up identi-tape online. They have several different colors of chrome tapes that could be used for lures.
  4. I can see it being very difficult to make a living just off of making lures. I just sell painted blanks and do repaints for folks and let me tell you it is a very cutthroat business. Not all the guys in the custom lure business are as friendly as the folks around here. Compound that with the huge chunk you'll be giving Uncle Sam and it makes it tough. I sell enough to make my truck payment each month but that's about as far as I want to take it.(very small payment LOL) I can't imagine trying to feed my wife and 2 kids from just painting/building lures. But who knows... you could be one of the few to make it big. If some people didn't strive to make their dreams come true there would be a lot more less than average Joe's in the world.
  5. I have ordered some blanks in the past that came with the bills rapped in something similar to sandwich rap. It left a very neat line around the bill of those lures but I have never tried to apply it to any of my other baits.

    Pumpkinseed

Wish I could sit and watch you paint. Most realistic paint work around hands down.

    1.5 Masquerade

Thanks guys. I got this color combination from some of my inshore jerk baits I use for speckled trout. It works good on the specks so we'll see how the bass like it.

Just playing around with layering a bunch of different colors.
  14. Never used the Spro popper frog but I have grown to love the Spro KingDaddy frog. IT'S HUGE!!Top water frog fishing is the best way to catch spawning bass IMO. They can't stand it!! Never had a problem with the frogs sticking to pads before but I don't get to fish pads very much, mostly grass and cypress tree roots and knees. I would try and find something like a chapstick style lure scent and rub it on the belly of your frog.... or you could try some Turtle Wax..LOL

    Inwood Prop

Classic pattern. I like it! Caught a ton of bass with those colors and some speckled trout too.
  16. We prefer the rattling ones.
