I use to use the stuff and one coat is plenty. That stuff is like a rock when it cures totally and it adds a lot of weight to lures. I use DN because I don't have that problem with the weight. Just make sure to mix it really well before using it.
If it were KO's I could probably swing that. Not sure on how hard the pattern I could do for 10 lures that I give away. Some take a lot of my time to complete.
I paint downstairs and my air compressor is about 30 feet from me. I just turn mine on and go upstairs for about 10 minutes until it is done filling and then shut it off when I go back down. The bigger the better I could probably spray for 3 to 4 hours without running out of air. No need for a sound box and you would have to put a fan in it to keep the motor cool if it turned on all the time.
I would for sure go with a big compressor. I have a 33 gallon and I turn it on once and turn it off. I spray at night so I turn it on when it gets close to bath time for my little man and I can spray all night on one tank. I would also suggest getting an inline regulator/moisture trap. Most air compressor come with them but they are not very sensative. I went the route of having a small air compressor and mine turned on all the time and the noiseless ones I heard pulsate when running.
I have never had a problem with eyes bleeding. I use DN for clear coat and have used D2T. Are you paint the eyes yourself? I know sharpies will bleed with using clear coats that have solvents in them but never heard of them bleeding that are molded.
Hi I just got done watching your video on your blog about using that plastic putty to do details on your baits. I was wondering what kind of plastic putty you are using? Your baits look great I would like to give the stuff a try. Thanks,
Worked great tonight wish I could of got to a bass lake to really test it out but it moves a lot of water. It sits at about the top lip level with the eyes and back sticking out of the water. I was not sure how that would work on the water but I really like it. I will try and take a video camera out next time and record it working.
