I started with 502 and ended up with calhouns med.The customers I sell to say they catch 3 to 5 bass per stick bait. And love the action.I havent tried Caney Creek yet.So I have stayed with Cahouns.
I have been shooting this mold a lot. And I found a cooler mold did not have the dents. But the hotter it got the more dents I was getting in the bump on the claws. Not real big dents. So I try to shoot a cooler mold.
I have been making scents out of olive oil.I use a light olive oil. It is not as green as regular olive oil.It is mostly clear.I have a coffee and some garlic scents .They have been sitting out for almost 6 months or longer here in Central Florida. In the heat.So far nothing has gone bad.I have also had some worms sitting out and soaking in it for about the same time. And they are still as good as the day I poured them.
I got a fluke mold from them it is great.Shoots laminates nice with twin injector. And has great action.Love the mold.It is the only fluke type mold I have found.Very happy with it.Shipping was fast.
I use them with light olive oil.I use the light olive oil beause it is pretty much a clear oil.Bio Scent is very strong. And I mix them together add a bit of ansie oil to add a little better smell for the fishermen.Pure Bio Scent I wear rubber gloves with.Very strong stuff.
I put coffee in a (Light) vergin olive oil.The light oil is almost clear olive oil.I let it soak for a week then strain the grains out.I also make garlic scent that way too.I have had worms in it for about 6 months and no problems.I also can add it to hot plastic with no problems. And it absorbes into the plastic well.
Sorry for the double video.I am new to some of this social media stuff. The blue and pumkin is my Okeechobee Craw and the other is Carters Majik.Carters Majik first time in the water caught a 11 # Large Mouth. There is a current flow from right to left in the aquarium. The worms still stand up in the current. Each color in the okeechobee 1/4 to1/2 tsp of bubbles per 8oz of plastic. The Carters Majik has about 1/2 tsp.
ALWAYS BE REAL CAREFUL BREATHING THIS STUFF.You will fill it in your lungs. It is in the smoke from the plastic too.
I use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp to 8 oz of plastic.I only use bubbles in my trick worms. They stand straight up with a 1/0 hook in them.Nice affect. They don't seem to stiff up to much.I also soak them in a scent oil or add some to the plastic to try and keep them soft.
I have a short viedo but can not figure out how to attach it .I have it on otisbaitco facebook.
I use micro bubbles in just about all my Trick Worms.I make the worms stand up on end.Tail up with a 1/0 hook in them. You have to add more colorant to them to get back the color you were looking for.(Like as if using salt). The biggest thing about bubbles is saftey.DO NOT INHALE THEM AT ALL....They are not good for you.I have a video of a trick worm with bubbles.I will try and post it so you can see the action.I think it is awsome.
I use Bears Med all the time thry are just alittle sticky.Nothing that bothers me.I put them in virgin olive oil with scent right from the mold to cure them. And I have never had any of Bears burn.So far.
Thanks a lot I will give it a try.I had some blue pearl and green pumpkin with med size black and blue flake.I will try the diffrent size flake too. Most of the big fishing tournaments Bass Masters and such are down here in central fla next month. And I am getting a lot of special request for baits. Thanks again.
I looked up okeechobee craw from here and it says blue over green pumpkin.
What kind of blue? Or color of blue? I am guessing it is a laminate. Is any flake in it?
I heat and bleed gold and green for shrimp to fish for Red Fish and trout.Makes a real natural color. The reds love them.If you put gold or green in clear plastic and heat it enough. It will bleed and you dont have to use any colors.Just add the other flake you want to go with it.
I have been pouring a little extra to over fill the mold sort of trying to crown it.When the plastic cools down alittle so it wont stick to finger I put one of my aluminum molds on top and put alittle weight on it.They come out nice and smooth on top.Might have to hit it with tourch to fix a blemish here and there. But that is how I am tackling that cooling concave problem.
Thanks to you all.I was talking about a hollow belly. Not just a hook slot.
I have dipped hook slots and gotten hollow bellies.Just was not sure if that was the right way.
I was looking for a open pour 2 piece mold. That made hollow bellies. If anyone sold them.I have found
hollow belly mods. And top pour molds.Just not the two in combination.
Does any body know where I can find an open pour swimbait mold with hollow belly?
I have found hollow belly molds and open pour. But not open pour with a hollow belly.
If there is even such a mold out there.
It is the5-890 5 3/4 with hook slot.I was rigging them Texas style.Or with a screw in hook.
I have not used a jig head.I sometimes use the for top water.
