Mark....Phil said he and to beat the hell out of the bait before the Solarez chipped....I know it's not as glossy as D2T or Etex.......but i think that this product is a good thing.......Easy to apply...dry's quick....you don't have to turn it.....no wasted product....cost effected...just to name a few.....And thanks to Bass100 for turning us on to it....

I also had that problem.....and found out later that it was cause by all the Miller Lite i was drinking while i was clear coating my baits....LOL It could be caused by old DT2.....

Which one of the Solarez products are you using???? And you need UVA lights for the curing process to work.....not sure what you are using????

I like the cork better also....but i have a feeling that if i want to keep using the rods i like, that i am going to have to start using foam..... Thanks for your input.. take care,Brent

The jars at walmart are Ball.....but if you buy mason jars it's now going to hurt anything.....the jars work the same..

walmart has them for like 9 dollars a case...but i think theirs is mason jars.....not difference than ball..

Salt are you pushing the main lever down for air...or is air coming through the gun by itself....if you are not pushing the main lever down it's not the mac valve. Try turning the mac valve and see if the air slows down....i am assuming you have a High Line CH....

Are the blades that you are looking at on LPO small enough????

I had a friend that grew his on balsa .....he said about 3 times a year starting in early spring when it wasn't going to be cold again.......he would fertilize with triple 13 and epson salt. He would take and make a 2 inch deep trench around the plant and put fertilizer and epson salt in the trench. NOT to heavy because it will burn the plant......and sprinkle epson salt in with it.....Then cover the trench back up and water till the ground was nice and moist. Water like this about every other day for a week to dissolve the fertilize and epson salt......not telling you to do this....but that's what he did and his plants grew faster than not doing anything at all....good luck
