I have a old Calcutta 250 and i have had it a long time. Still works like it was new. If you set it up right you can throw really small baits. When i had my tackle shop i sold a lot of them just showing customers how far i could throw a floating worm with it. Joking i would tell folks i could throw a feather with it. I use it with a All Star rod. I hope you find something you like. Good luck, Brent

I know years ago David Fritts was throwing Poe's crankbait's. He would hang his baits on his sun visor in his truck to fad the color on his baits. But like Ben said everything i have tried looks the same in the water.

I'm sure he put in more time than you know. And you can bet your butt his baits are not 15 bucks. We want everything right now, he wants a bait that has great action and catches fish. Check out the very end of the video at the action of 2 of the baits. I remember seeing some time back that some of the custom baits that are made like his go for hundreds of days. I guess that's why you can drive a Toyota 300,000 miles because of the way they are built. Just a thought. Brent

I don't have any of the old packages. The rattles might not even make a difference, but i liked them with the rattles. I will take a look the next time i go to BPS..Thanks for the reply. Take care, Brent

I might try and put rattles on them. But i sure would have liked them better if they had come with them. I really liked the way they had the rattles on the bait...they were easy to take of and on. Thanks for you reply take care, Brent

Kasilofchrisn i bought the same model and i bought them at Bass Pro Shop. I called them after i noticed today that the ones i bought did not have rattles. Their reply was they had know idea why. Most of the people that work in the fishing section at most sporting goods dealers don't even know what a split ring is. And that's about par for the course. Thanks for the reply. take care, Brent

Does anyone know why some of these jigs have rattles and some don't. I bought some a few month ago and they had rattles. I bought some today and now of them had rattles. The ones with rattles are built different right behind the head of the jig. The skirt goes on and then the double barrel rattles slide on right behind the skirt and it also has a wire trailer keeper. I like the rattles when the water is lightly stained to stained. And info would be welcomed. Thanks Brent

Bob. I've never used that brand, but i have used Bang Anise. When i had my tackle shop i told my customers that if they bought it and didn't like it i would buy it back. I never had one person bring it back. Thanks for your help.

To Mark....Bobby Barrack doesn't throw Spro Frogs. He throws Snag Proof.

I'm not new to frog fishing. But when the frog gets on top of a pad it's like it creates a suction on the pads. To Mark.....Do you put a split ring on the bait to get it to walk. When i was fishing it the other day i couldn't get it to walk very well. I don't have any problems getting other baits to walk. Thanks guy's for all the info.

No....i do not want them to stick, that's what wrong. The want slide across the pads like other frogs i have used. One reply does anyone use frogs besides me.
