Just wanted to wish everyone and their family's a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I feel like we are one big family here, because we are always trying to help each other out. Don't forget who's birthday it is. God bless.....
your friend, Brent
I'm with Stan on this one..I don't know anyone using epoxy that does not turn there lures in some way. I have never heard anyone hanging baits that have had epoxy put on them. Turning the lures is what cause the epoxy to level out. I'm sure someone that uses epoxy all the time will comment on this.
Mark if you put it in hot water it will shrink the loofah all at once and does a great job. If you use a hair dryer or heat gun you will more than likely melt it. It only takes a few minutes to put it in hot water. Hope this helps.
If you take a piece of the loofah and put it in real hot water....not boiling it can melt the loofah....and let the loofah get hot it will shrink. Pat dry and put the loofah in a book to make it flat and take out wrinkles. Then when you put it around the bait it will not slide as much and the pattern will be tighter like the lure you are trying to copy. You can also wrap the loofah around a pop sickle stick to get the loofah a lot tighter. Just a thought
I have already stepped up to the plate a few day's ago...Mr. Barton told me he was sorry but he could not give out info because he didn't want to loose any business over it. He was very nice about it and i told him i fully understood his feelings about his patterns. After all he does this for a living. He did say that it was nice that the people at TU admired his work. I don't know if any of you have checked out his site but he does some fantastic patterns. Sorry i couldn't help you guy's out. Hey saltshaker you can't find anything out if you don't ask....Who knows, I might even have to ask you something someday...
Thanks for asking Ben. I'm thinking about changing my address to my Doctors office. Seems like i live there now days. But other than that i'm doing fine. Take care, Brent
