    Finesse Football jig

Great looking jig and the trailer blends perfectly. Great job, Dan
  3. In my opinion your (over) reaction is not logical, but emotional. This is by no means meant as criticism. You have a set of expectations with high standards, and almost certainly live your life by those standards. But based on your comments, you are offended when others do not share your standard. The logical error is, with ample evidence, provided on this forum, of what to expect from BTS you continue with unfounded expectation. It is highly unlikely that BTS will change. That leaves 2 choices 1.) accept that there will be delays and poor communication. 2.) do not order from them.

    Clear Water Candy

    Recipe would be helpful
  5. The goal is to make a 2 color single tail grub from a 4 cavity injection mold (center sprue 2 baits each side) - but the darker color needs to be on top of the bait. what I get is usually a laminate with colors on the sides of the grub in lieu of top/bottom. If I turn the Twinjector 90 degrees, half the grubs are 100% dark and half of them light. Suggestions are most welcome.

  8. Thank you, gentlemen. That helps me with my upcoming order.
  9. Is the BaitSjunky "The Jerk 5.5"" a close simulation of a fluke?
  10. No kidding? I always figured shad imitator colors were the norm.
  11. What are some of you favorite swim jig skirt colors?
  12. How well does this model work versus others? It looks like you may be able to manipulate the strands better?
  13. I fish a swing jig on a constant crawl across a rocky bottom, no vegetation. Quantum put out a Tommy Biffle rod with a stiff tip that works pretty well, but is no longer available. If the tip flexes the jig stops while the rod loads up and then the jig jumps forward. Keeping the bait moving along the bottom at a steady pace is the goal. Of course, the rod has to be castable but the minimum weight is 1/2 oz and typically 5/8 or 3/4 oz. I also want a split grip. Am thinking 6'6" to 6'10". I am am also seeking a long light to ultralight spinning rod for fishing 1/16 to 3/32 oz finesse baits. I need it to be at least 7' to cast for distance in ultra clear water. These finesse baits have exposed hooks, sometimes with a light wire weed guard. I bought several Powell light action rods for this purpose but the tips break off with unacceptable regularity. Suggestions for for stock rods are welcome but I would also be interested in having a professional custom make these. I would want several of each. Ideas?
  14. I did this and it works well. Thanks
  15. I like that wooden block idea. Thanks. Beats duct tape I'm currently using.
  16. I have this Benchtop Skirt Making Tool and have a devil of a time keeping track of the pointed piece used to stretch the skirt bands into place. Any ideas on where/how to store this part with the base unit? http://www.barlowstackle.com/Production-Skirt-Tool-Bench-Mount-P2592.aspx
  17. Thanks, guys. Very helpful.
  18. I am having trouble figuring this one out. II see the black & gold flake but the plastic color(s) is the issue. Your help is most welcome. Color is NetBait "Perfection"
  19. I should add that the jigs referenced were not well taken care of by me. They were the ones left out, stuck into the foam "jig hangers" on the boat. Stored properly, they age much better. The silicone skirts withstand this abuse pretty well. Just don't leave an Elaztech trailer on, lol.
  20. Will that mold shoot 2 color baits properly with a Twinjector ?
  21. Yes, I think they look great but have had trouble with them becoming stiff and deformed in about a year.
  22. Great idea. What hook do you use?
  23. BTW, that is a nice looking craw. I would love the recipe, should you choose to share.
  24. Will the 702 mold even shoot a proper laminate with the Twinjector ?
  25. So on the controversial subject of salt - who sells the finest grind?
