  1. What does it exactly do to ruin paint?
  2. I like to use different sealers depending on the wood to be sealed. For a balsa bait I like propionate. What are you sealing?

I agree with Brad. Those flames are cool and of course I like your choice of colors. Keep whittlin at it.
  5. Hello YoungForge, I like to use small water color brushes. I do most of the work with a small round brush. An expensive one would be under five bucks. I generally thin the color first I am going to paint with by taking a very small amount on the end of a paper clip and put in a small medicine cup. Then add a few drops of a solution of 50/50 rubbing alcohol, highest %/ demineralized water and a few drops of glycerin. (All these things can be found at your local walmart. The alcohol and glcerin are pharmacy items.) By adding more and more paint you are able to achieve a range of color from transparent to opaque with any water based acrylic paint you like. Paper clips and needles are good for dots and spots in a range of sizes. The rest is really up to your imagination. Best regards. Vic

    PVC crankbaits

X2 Dieter They all look great and swim fantastic. So many actions and colors to choose. I took one of your homies for a swim recently . Beautiful swimmer and i now see why you like the jelly glitter. Really glowed in the water. A halo effect. Very nice!

Very nice bait. Those bright orange fins on bottom are they part of bait or stand? Vic

First bass of the year on the first trip to the lake caught on an underground homemade. Caught this bass on JBlaze white spinnerbait. Fantastic spinner John. Thank you! Vic
  10. Wilfish, it is a Kodak playsport. Cheap as underwater goes but effective. Pretty tough too. I left the door open on this one and filled it with water. Let it dry for a couple of days and good as new.
  11. Thank you Gino for sharing! I have never built such a bait but perhaps someday I will. Your descriptive build will make it a whole lot easier. Hope you catch a muskie soon. Vic
  12. Never heard of the amma bamma . I looked it up and your bait is similar. Like your paint better personally. Why do you think your bait has a wider glide? What is different in the build? Weight , shape or something else?
  13. Anyone ever use one of these to airbrush? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jun-Air-compressor-2-cylinder-25-liter-tank-/170801854974?pt=BI_Air_Compressors&hash=item27c49579fe#ht_500wt_951 Looks to be a good one.

West They all look good. This orange and yellow one has an unusual shape. I was wondering how it swims?
  15. I would try this forum. These guys know their baits. Might try a title like "Ohio handmades". http://nflcc.org/phpBB2/ Unusual build with side weight. They may know who made them. Whoever made them was probably making a Fred Young Big O . Shape and bill placement very similar. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Fred-C-Young-Early-Big-O-Lure-RARE-Pin-Eyes-/280722153221?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415c581f05#ht_3555wt_754 Good luck. Nice looking baits.
  16. Thank you! Found a local source these paints. I will be giving it a try. Your bait looks really good.
  17. Yes; exactly which golden product are you referring to? Several are listed in the link i provided. Thanks
  18. Wow! That does have a nice look. Thanks for sharing. Which series of paints are you using? http://www.goldenpaints.com/storelist/index.php Vic
  19. Thanks. Dan, the bit cuts the circuit board with ease. It is only 1/32 thick. I would say it is easier on the bit than the thicker lexan. Cuts much faster. Your drawing is giving me more ideas. Thank you for sharing. I see a jig with several heads in a circle loaded with bibs. Just load the jig, cut and load again, at least six to ten. I would never need it at the rate I build lures. Will be using your idea to round off some bibs of my own in the future. Great idea!

    Another new bait

Looks just like KOI swimming. Nice!
  21. I would agree with you. This forum along with a few others has only one doorway in and it is easy to miss. I had a hard time finding it even when i was looking for it. Really needs to be added to popup window . That is why it is missed.
  22. Ben, I will keep my eyes open. Thank you! Dan, I was wondering how do you cut the slot in back of your bib?
  23. Hi Gene Do you have dowel handle glued into each template?
