  1. Good Looking fishing! Really jealous about now of that Texas weather too. Look at ya in short sleeves and pants so thin a cool breeze can be felt clear to your *** ***** ! We are freezing our butts off now in TN. Congratulations!

Nice catch Coley! Let me guess; you caught him on a TN Shad pattern?

Thank you Patrick and Dieter. This pattern becomes more and more defined as I paint it. I am calling it "TN Water Snake".

Dieter, really like the action on the finnish silver one. You have a little Tn shad pattern going on there as well. Only thing missing is the red gill plate and a kill spot. Hope they serve you well.

Good looking baits! I really like this pattern.
  6. Talk about funny. I saw it and never opened it. Just assumed it was what it said it was "a cookbook", (recipes for cooking fish to eat). LOL
  7. Rookie, you really don't expect us to believe you came up with this pattern all by yourself. That's either a Dali or Picasso if I ever saw one.....Beautiful COPY man! littleriver
  8. Copycats have been around as along as lures .................The collectors will be the ones who sort out who did what first and the best. Only the best will stand the test of time....
  9. Sorry to hear about the extension Dieter. It's looking more and more over here that relief will only come with death.

Kejeon, I like the paint on that little one. Has a nice look to it. Forgive me, but I just have to ask. Do you tall all your pictures in your undies? LOL

    shad stle baits

Are there any noticeable differences in action or hookups? Seeing your baits is making me want to make some of my own in the future. Beautiful, thank you for sharing them. Vic

    Speechless Mr Hopkins.
  13. Looks awesome and the dog likes it too!
  14. First thing I thought when I saw it was it is upside down. Flip and the keel is gone. Great point!
  15. I would start by moving the line tie to the point as Musky Glenn says. Really want in center mostly. Having it where it is now will spin the bait with each twitch as well as make it walk. Not something you want with a Rat. Could easily place bait in a bowl of water and photo so we could see how she sits.

I could look at it all day and still see something different every time. Beautiful bait!
  17. You really should at least pay the poor soul a compliment. Around here, we have long standing tradition of telling someone how much we like their stuff just before we rob'm blind. It is the least one could do. And besides, he will know his work is in the hands of someone who really appreciates it. littleriver

I have been looking at bass photos all day and looks like you captured it very well with this lure. Great job! Hard to believe the lure is only five inches. Looks 12 if an inch.

    rats

They look great! A few whiskers and they would be perfect.
  20. I'm with you. Really do not see the point but some do.
  21. All seriousness aside, there really was lure maker here who was locally famous during the 60's for putting skins of goldfish on his homemade lures. Believe it or not!
  22. They have been doing it around here since the 60's. Not really something I am interested in . The skin is my favorite part to eat. I always save a few myself after a day of fishing for my pet bass. "sure was fun watching that bass smash them little suckers" Agreed! Amazing to watch.
