  1. Im not sure the route I want to go. For a flat look I would just wet sand it with some 400-220. The other options are Imron or gelcoat.
  2. No jon boat here. 19'6" bassboat. I want to paint it flat black.
  3. Thanks for the "off topic" info fellas. Gelcoat is a PIA to spray and Solarez seems more forgiving, Tanning bed lights seem like the way to go and maybe do the botttom half first then the top cap after the bottom has cured. HMMMM, interesting.
  4. Whats your thoughts on clearing a bassboat with this stuff?
  5. Time consuming. I only have about a one hour a night to get stuff done. Thanks for your thoughts fellas.
  6. Im making a few jointed swimbaits and im not sure the rout I want to go. The ones with a tongue-N-grove type hinge look better but I think it hinders the swimming action compared to the straight cut baits. Whats the official word on this? Here are some random examples...

    bone paint jobs

They look great! Im gonna add a little yellow to mine next time.
  9. Whats the easiest way to differentiate the new and old Wiggle Warts?
  10. Cant you just soak it in a sealer?
  11. Thank you for the response.
  12. Well Ive never made a crankbait before and im in need of some advice. I really like the deeper body style baits, but im not sure if they'll ever be effective. Will this body style be capable of running correctly? And these will be shallow running square bills, with circuit board lips.
  13. I use French Vanilla from Folk Art. Does this look like a good bone color?
