  1. Bob, I understood the rep to say it was, but, I don't remember asking that particular question. He mentioned it in conversation. I did the scratch test with a drywall screw on a lure I cleared with DN and I did the same when I started using KBS. I let 'em both sit about a week and the KBS was much harder to scratch to the paint than the DN. That, along with it's glossy finish and ease of use, sold me. I'm not trying to sell this to anyone else,...just sayin' it works for me.
  2. Mark, I've never had any storage issues, but, a quart only lasts me a couple months. I kept one can for a little over 3 months with no problems. Like someone already noted...unless you do a good number of baits, MCU is prolly not your best option. The KBS is so badazz that I use it as a clear coat for my Etex.
  3. Best MCU I've ever used...and that includes DN. http://www.kbs-coatings.com/DiamondFinish-Clear.html Super easy to use, super hard and super glossy.
  4. ** SOLD ** This a brand new Iwata HP-CH that is unused. It comes with accessories and all paperwork. GREAT PRICE on a high-end Iwata.
  5. I just feel the KBS is the tougher of the two. If I didn't need the epoxy for the foil I use...I would use the urethane exclusively. I tried that but it takes too many apps to get the same result.
  6. Mark, I've used a moisture cure urethane over Etex for 2 years now and haven't had any problems with reaction. I always let the epoxy cure, tho (24 hrs) before applying the MCI. Maybe I've just been lucky.

    the bass

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Please forgive me but that's all that comes to mind.
  8. You left???? Just kiddin', Brent. How are things in Pike County? Wet?
  9. I think Jim (Predator) mentioned to me that he no longer carries the DRS models. Just a note for future reference. If I misquoted you, Jim, please forgive me. Either way....the best unpainted square bills around.
  10. Does anyone have a clue as to why a Wart seems synonymous with a crawfish pattern?
  11. Thanks a lot, edgewood....question fully answered.

    Kvd 1.5

I recently purchased some crankbaits from a dude on ebay that were described as "KVD 1.5". The package arrived today and I noticed that the first couple I picked up had rattles in 'em. I was under the impression that all KVD 1'5's were silent. Maybe it's because I've never seen one that rattled. Can y'all help me out with this so I can make sure I got what I paid for? Note: I guess they look enough like a KVD . Thanks
  13. Exhale through a drinking straw right into the mixture. I learned that right here and it works great for me. Never a need for a torch/hair dryer.
  14. Congrats on the Wart success, Jim. Now, you can concentrate on redesigning and selling the Spro Little John.
  15. It might be more important to have the thru-wire on balsa bodies, but, IMO...it's totally overkill on plastic.....for the reason Bob noted. I've caught 15-20 lb. redfish on 2" Mann's crankbaits with the only problem being the hook size. Never had a lure malfunction.
  16. I buy the black nickel trebles from www.unpaintedlures.com. I've used them personally with no issues and have never had a complaint from customers. They're good quality stuff..... .$24 per 100. I like Gamakatsu, too.
  17. If Jim dabbles in it...it'll do just fine. You can bet he won't put a product on the market until he's absolutely sure he'd use it himself. I've bought many products from him and have always been satisfied with everything from quality to shipping time. Plus...his wife packs a mean package. Predator ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Get ya some Papillio waterslide decal paper and you're set. You'll also need the fixitant to seal the colors. Pick a pic off the internet and go for it. There's no pic that can't be transferred.
  19. Not too long ago, there was a Wart lot on eBay containing 35 or so lures. Most were common everyday colors except for the 9 Mizery Craws that were included. The lot sold for $1200. The buyer told me, "I got the others free"!!
