  1. i had a KO 1.5 clear with d2t and it was in my car for a whole day in 90+ weather and is still perfectly fine.
  2. welcome! show some examples of your work!
  3. wish i could keep it. it broke off on the cast and i couldnt find it. =/
  4. suprisingly, this was on spray can too! too bad the lip broke off on the lake..=(
  5. i started off using just spray cans. i sometimes spray on the main base coat, then spray some clear. then spray like a pattern and then sand it off and whatever didnt get sanded off stayed and gave off a nice effect. also, cutting a small hole on paper or shoot through a funnel to narrow your spray patterns allows you to spray paint with more finesse.

i give up airbrushing! lol amazing work man.im curious as to how you made the scale pattern soo realistic!
  7. ive used something similar, that clouds up after 24 hours in a fish tank and stays like that for 48 hours in a tank with various scratches and bite marks from toothy critters but after a few hours of sitting out of water, the hardness and clarity returns. great thing was that, clear was back to being just as hard with no ill effects with bite marks going all the way through the paint. still use it today and will continue to use it.

    photo finish topwater

My first try at foiled photofinshed and epoxy. sure sucks rotating the lure by hand! need to build me a lure turner soon.
  12. its a great way to clear! most people choose to use epoxy due to its price and it being toxic free for the most part. i say if you have unlimited access to it and have the necessary equipment to spray it safely, then by all means use it.
  13. im glad i could be of help.
  14. its golden fluid acrylics. and in that group is the interference series which is what this is from.
  15. you mean what kind of golden paints or?...
  16. Has anyone used these? its abit thick, but when you thin it down abit its sprayable. I stumbled upon the gold fluid interference series/colors and found it to be an amazing series and no longer need the use of spraying a separate pearl coat during the clearing process. its a white base with pretty much pearls already in them. I bought the interference green and heres what i got. hard to see it but it really shines very nice and evenly. Despite the $7 per 1oz bottle i think its worth it!

  23. wow....beats my shad pattern 10-1!!! great colors and thanks for sharing as it has given me a better idea of painting shad colors.
  24. if you are doing it for just your own use, experiment and play around with colors alittle and see what works at the lakes/rivers you fish. i have a fav goto color that i would never have guessed to catch fish..lol
  25. ive been using a poly urethane called varithane and its worked great for me. tiny bit soft and dries thin, but havent had any issues with peeling. I accidentally bought a satin finish quart and satin cleared a few baits without knowing. well they all dried with a satin finish. pretty cool i thought! still returned it though. you should give it a try, not too expensive and can be found at menards.
