I make baits to help me catch more fish and keep my retired a@# busy in the winter so i can fish in the summer,and i carve other things too so that helps,pay some bills(not many and small ones at that)I try something that might work and most dont so i try again and again,to make a bait that might do well in the market would be ok too but that also might take the fun out of it also as it then becomes WORK....not that i'm lazy im not just dont want to work for anyone else anymore jmo

what about a wire leader instead of hard wire ? it flexes and you can put a few beads between the joints so it would swim? just a thought

You mean if i copy gunnies bait mine won't look that good????i hate when that happens...

if someone copyed my bait i would hope that it could be improved on by someone else so i could recopy it and get better at making the bait then the first time around. and if i have an idea and post it on here to toss around looking at what other people have to say helps everyone who reads the post and that is what T.U. is all about, getting new ideas helps make a better bait that might catch us a few more fish on something we made becouse all the input we got from posting in the first place,if a newbee ask for coments about his baits i'll let him know what i think of the bait both good and bad becouse only then will he learn to look at his baits from a differnt side

you might try the local auto parts store just ask for ss tie wire comes in one lb spools

look for a wire tie holding the wire if there is more then one wire going thru the hole chances are thay are wire tied together most boat builders do it that way to save time,i worked at a marina for almost ten years after retiring from the coast guard,BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!! run the new wire with a fish tape its faster then trying to pull the old wire out and if you pull on the old wire you might break another wire tied to it

you can get them by the oz i think( about 200 feathers)in all kinds of colors just look in the flytieing section in netcrafters,lure parts online,cabellas bass pro...
