  1. if you epoxy over them it should keep them pike proof just use two or three coats
  2. thats how come i painted this
  3. try spraying over the top of the bait and coming down slowly so you just catch the edge of the spray pattern you waste more paint but it makes for a softer line after al an airbrush is just a rattle can with no rattle
  4. If i use my wifes computer it will do the same thing as yours all i get is the browse button no review and publish???? so i log into mine and all the buttons are there not sure why you might have to start from scratch and reload T.U.

  11. look in the recipes in hard bait fourm for a few bluegill paint jobs or do a search for bluegill patterns, just like 152 said thou it takes practice to put out great looking baits so dont think it will be all that easy
  12. i've used acryllics from the art store and createx both work the art store paint is thicker so you have to reduce it there are home made reducer posted on here mix till it looks like milk in thickness and spray away and have fun

nice bait bruce,to get them to suspend take a floating bait with no lead in it and wrap thin lead wire around the hooks till it sits with the back just below the surface without sinking or rising very very slowlythen unwrap the wire and weigh it on a scale(you can buy one at hfright for 10 bucks) melt the lead and pour into a belly weigh mold drill holes to slip weights into and epoxy over them the bait should then suspend when you crank it down or rise so slow that twitching the rod will keep it in place and you also know how much it should take on the next one becouse you weighed the lead on this one
  18. should catch a few fish nice job on the bait
  19. with the split ring being cheaper and doing the same thing i think its a waste of money on smaller baits but with the swivel on the bigger baits it might help on belly hooks and back hooks but i can have a swivel tied to my line and change out baits too with the split ringed line tie?imo
  20. looking at them now the part number is 315-210-001 for the 1 11/16x15/16x .024 price 1.35 per two or 315-210-002 size is 2 5/8x1 7/16x.024 price is 2.65 per two this is last years book but the part number should be right
  21. net crafters carrys them i know
  22. Just found some of this glow in the dark paint, its a water based gel type paint,I've reduced it with future based reducer and it sprays well but it need about 4 to 6 coat to get it to glow on the paint, so im testing it a little more to see if i can get it to take less coats of paint
  23. if you use a tube use brass becouse it wont rust up the plastic tube will wear out sooner or later ,the tube will work if you glue it into the hole it becomes part of the bait so that should'nt be an issue the water will lube the hinge pin you use to put the bait together.,theres also a tutorial on making a pvc swim bait that might help you out and shows how to put in a plastic hinge?

    sexy shad

I just finished putting hooks on this one 5 inchs long 1/2 inch thick wake bait,Should be a killer for hybrid bass
  25. your bill thickness should work ok,you might want to move it back a little bit so it gives you more wood at the top between the bill and the upper part of the bait,if thats where the you are breaking the nose when you put pressure on the bill your bait wont, get that amount of pressure from the water pushing it so the epoxy is holding great as the wood is the weak link it will break first hope this helps
