  3. looks good hope it works better then expected
  4. You can use the pin style you have (pin hole drilled thru to line up with screw eyes) pre drill the hole for the pins to make sure it works then just paint the lure without the pin in place and topcoat all the parts then after the topcoat is dry re drill thru the topcoat and install the pins touch up the holes where the pins are with tocoat and your finished
  5. if you have hook eyes already installed hang some weight from them till you get the bait sitting like you want it then melt that and pour it in the holes you have drilled in the baits..just make really sure your bait is dry before pouring the lead as it WILL explode if it hits water when its in liquid form
  6. heres my thoughts it sounds like the bait is not weighted on the belly at all and the wings/bib catching the water pull it under to that side spinning the bait ,where if you weight the belly so the bait still floats close to level or tail down slightly the weight would counter balance the wing/bib and should keep it in the upright pos.
  7. crankbait- reel in to impar action glider-subsurface lure that when jerked moves forward in a smooth gliding motion to one side then the other on the next jerk(walk the dog action under water) swimbait- a jointed bait that has a swimming motion when reeled or jerked(can be worked on top as a wake bait too) twitch bait- surface bait that when twitched impars action to bait(zara spook for one)
  8. you could spray auto paint thru the airbrush amd clear coat with auto clearthat would work alittle better then water base paints but you would still have to clean the airbrush well

Looks good BBM so i take it you like the color
  14. You should be able to call the manufactor and order a new one
  15. Have any pictures i'm sure someone would figure it out,i would say silver mixed with a little gray/black mix should get you about right
  16. I build a few gliders and have found that if i weight the glider just in front of my hook hanger with most of the weight needed to sink it at the right speed and add enough weight to the back end to float it just a tad tail high from level i get a great glideing action and you can even reel the lure and get it to glide right and left about 1 1/2 to 2 ft as its swimming
  17. On larger flat sided baits i use a roundover bit on my router table and it makes quick work of it most of my baits are made of poplur wood thou so i dont know about balsa should work thou
  18. i found i get a better left/right action while swimming(straight retreive) on my gliders but when i use a twitch type retreive not much diff. in the two.i have some that walk two feet on a straight retreive and just turning the eye vertical it gos about a foot
  19. I spray it thru my ab and just clean it with windex and water and i thin it the same way you do and have'nt had any prob.I do use a small fine tipped paint brush to help clean out the bowl thou

  24. If you build a box put some clear lexan on one side that way you can look at the lures and not have to remove the box, also you can add a light and help heat the box
