  6. i used to be first mate on a charter boat out of tawas mi and caught a few lake trout (ok 100s of lakers)along with samon and browns if we trolled plugs it was rapalas on the long lines, the lakers we trolled Hot and tots alot and the lake trout loved them(yea we lost a few plugs to the bottom too)blue and silver or chartruse were the go to baits up there for lakers along with flashers and plastic squid i think you would do well on trout colors out west as the lakes are stocked alot out there but you might try some basic colors too hope this helps you could also get him a trolling spoon set that he can put together and fish with???he might like that too

  15. sounds like you have a leak somewhere?is the airbrush single or double action, check to see if the tip is leaking around it
  16. if your bait is only 3 1/2 inchs long and it glides to 5 inchs past centerline of the bait thats a good glide due to the size and weight of the bait musky glide bait being heaver and longer tend to glide longer 1 to 2 feet on some but the baits are 9 to 14 inchs long so your bait fits them its just a smaller swing due to being a smaller bait as for the taper of the bait a 3rd of the way back sounds like the sweet spot on that bait you might try back a little bit more and see if it still has the same swing / better or if its starting to lose it,if thats the case go back to where you were and go from there by maybe adding or removing weight and see if its better or worse?? hope i helped you out

  18. if i read this post right your trying to thin with windex? your using the wrong thing to thin your paint you use windex to clean between colors not to thin the paint look up reducer on here for homemade reducer or buy some at the store, also if your using folkart paint from the craft store i reduce it 60/40 with distilled water and shake it really well then run it thru a paint strainer(you can get them at home depo, ace about any store that sells paint by the gal.)that gets rid of all the larger paint chips so it will shoot better thru the brush hope this helps

  21. I've been using devcon2ton 30 min the way i mix mine is 50/50 mix and after i mix it i hit it with a blowdryer on high till it flows well as that gets the air bubbles out and lets me coat my lures(i do two at a time)then i hit them again with the blowdryer just to smooth the 2ton and let it spin on my drying rack about 30 mins then shut off the drying rack and let it sit over night
