i use an acrylic sealer over my paint if im doing alot of colors so if i mess up a color i can wash it off without messing up the other colors i've already painted on the bait
I use some fine glitter i get from netcrafters in the fire opal color as it picks up the diff paint colors well(like if i paint a chartruse green bait the glitter looks green to,or a red bait it takes on the red color)
look in the tutorials on foiling a bait you print it on tissue paper to the size of your baits and make two copys one for each side when you topcoat over it the tissue paper dissapers
i see you use 5 min epoxy to fix the bad part only thing wrong is 5 min epoxy its not waterproof the 30 min d2 is waterproof so water can get to the paint
if your using reg airbrush paint most of the time you wont have to thin it just put a few drops in the brush and start spraying paint i use homemade reducer made as follows
1. future floor wax for tile floors 60%
2. dilstilled water 40%
4 drops of gylsere(get it at the drug store liquid form)
i make it 2 oz. at a time for use in my folk art paint i get at the local art store(wal-mart has it too)
that way you have alot of colors at a cheap price and can spray practic paint all day long or paint your lures with it it works great
you might want to install a round clear 1/4 in thick peice of lexan on the top of the template to keep your fingers away from the bit if you slip up??(4 inch circle)
this one a little of both.freehand on all the basic colors blending as i go then i have a stencil for the ear and bars, but you could do the bars without it with low pressure and light paint
