  1. Allways willing to help out fellow lure carvers . Glad you had a great few hours mate . Will see you soon. FLASH.
  2. ill send you a pm TT .
  3. just went to a tool shop and asked for a cutting blade like a circulars saw blade for a 4 inch angle grinder . This is what the gave me .
  4. Oh yeah . I forgot to add that im sorry for the music as my mate hates slow music so to stick it to him I found that . A few other safety mods too . Im currently working on another with auto stop and return in fast mode . FLASH
  5. OK fellas . The return of the cradle just motor in reverse . The cast alloy plate on the far left comes of a drop saw . All the electrics are 12 volt to prevent any unwanted shocks ..And I can only cut from left to right as if I go from right to left it throws the block out . It looks crude there is no doubt about it but I've cut 100s of blanks and it still runs true . This duplicator is a hybrid from all the good ones I've watched on youtube and thought this was the easiest design I could build. I find some machines are over engineered . Keep it simple and you don't loose fingers I say. Cheers for the comments guys . FLASH
  6. Thanks fellas . bit crude I know but without a doubt it works. FLASH
  7. recovering from a recent operation at home with not much todo and lots to think about . So now after a day in the shed i now have this little helper . Hope some of you may find this usefull . FLASH
  8. Adam . You are an oldhand with the lures you make for sure . Good job mate . I also come from tassie . In the derwent valley. If your interested you might want to catch up and compare notes and ideas . Myself and a few others have a small home made lure comp every year up at lake pedder .You might be intersted in that too . Send me another pm if intersted .. Good lures too by the looks of them . Cheers Mate FLASH
  9. I wouldnt mind trying this . My problem is i live in Tasmania . Down under the down under place . But im interested . FLASH
  10. OOHPS , sorry . its a surface prop lure used for night matches against tassie trout
  11. my only idea is this BAT , HE HE , some of you may like it and some may not
  12. Earlcus , I had little help from the ouside world as well . Plenty of encouragement but not much else . I basically kept looking at youtube clips like mine and built it with some things i had and a little bought stuff . The travel of the cradle one way or the other was easy with a 12 volt wiper motor with a switch that would allow me to revers poles for one way or another . Talk to a electronics geek for that on how to . The rest i just looked at all the others and used a little from all to come up with this little thing . My freind is building one with a router and i guesse ill go that way if his finish is beter then what i get . All basic machenics really ,Look and look again . My Drill drive is a 12 volt cordless with a 240 volt ac to 4.5 volt dc power suply hard wired in . Simple as trial and error . I made a lot of mistakes along the way but i stuck to it till the end . Dont let it beat you . Hope this helps and ask if you need help some more and ill try to help if no one else will . Cheers FLASH
  13. now working but still no safety door
  14. Ok fello lure nuts. Ive allmost finished my duplicator. It works and works well . A little sanding but with the cutter im using you gotta expect that .Still need to install a clear safety door and a dust extraction unit and a leaver operated cradle lifting device . Here are some pics to run your eyes over . Feel free to critisise as im all for a better job . Cheers FLASH
