    008

In the tub it had what I would call a medium wobble. I think this is the best one I've done yet and extremely anxious to throw it a little bit.

A little flatsided cedar bait. My first attempt with an airbrush.
  6. Maybe you could use a larger size hook on the back to get more of that tail down attitude? I'm not sure but thought that I would chime in with my 2 cents. The blanks look really nice.

    1st Time Bait Q's

The first lure that I made was painted completely with fingernail polish and I have caught more fish with that one that any other lure that I have made since then (about 20 - 30 lures... not a lot but just stating facts.) So if you like it then run with it. Good luck on all of your future lures because this stuff is ADDICTIVE!!
  8. I know that I wasted a few baits before I found this site because I was thinking "waterproof/water resistant" was close enough to the same thing that it didn't much matter which one I used. Hind sight is 20/20 but that is a lesson I will never forget!!

    Dremel 4000

I bought a Dremel 4000 the other day to help with my crankbaits. I love the sanding drums for rough shape, and the grinding attachments to shape my lips (the aluminum ones), and the precision with the drill bits. Now I'm just wanting to know if any of you have any tips/suggestions that might save me some headache? Or interesting things to try? Thanks you all are a great bunch of people.

  19. I like the lure. As for the test tank.. I'm still using my bathtub, so no laughing here. Nice job!!
  20. I think that was the thing to do. I like it a lot.
  21. Happy New Year. Best wishes to all.
  22. This is an awsome thread! As a beginner, I would love to sit down and make a bait with some of you guys in person. I have learned a LOT from this site and look forward to learning a lot more. Thanks, Tracy G.

    my latest attempt.

Ok. I finally got to try this one out. It would dive good on slow retrieve but blow out on faster speeds. I think that the lip didn't have enough angle. But anyways it gives me a reason to tear it apart and try again.
  24. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
