All of my stencils are small enough that when I transfer them from paper to stencil material (my stencils are soft clear plastic), I tape it to the plastic with duct tape then start cutting with my exacto.
You can go to Bandits website and get the real deal for 2.99. I don't think they come with hooks/split rings though (I haven't ordered any, just came across them while browsing) Look at their specials and scroll down.
I played around with tying flies and top water plugs around 12 - 16 years old (didn't have a clue what I was doing but was catching fish on them for the short time they lasted). Started building cranks a year ago. First one here.
I think this is my problem too. I am trying to rein myself in on the thickness of coats. I like the color but I might "tweak" it a little when I re do it.
Gotta re-do the paint, the wood behind it makes it look orange (it's actually bright pink, almost red). The reason for re-painting it is...an air bulge came up on the side after being exposed to the sun. The more that I paint the more amazed I am with myself (never knew I had it in me). lol.
A few people that I work with are giving me baits that they are about to throw away and I'm lovin it. The last two nights I've been approached by 2 guys that want me to customize a couple cranks that they fish with, it's very flattering.
