  1. 1. Buy a Twistech 2. What commercial spinners do you use? Brand, style and weight.
  2. Just put eyes on some of the Little Jorge lures I painted the other day. Now I need to get the blades on them, I use in-line blades, and put a split ring on. I don't put the hook on till I'm ready to fish. Makes them much easier to store in a small space.
  3. it works just fine with only one outlet. You can close off the extra outlets by taking a short piece of tubing, heating one end and squeezing it with pliers. Then putting the open end on the outlet. They make a two outlet model that's a bit cheaper.
  4. Here's the link. http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-AAPA15L-6-Watt-15-LPM-Outlets/dp/B002JPEVMC?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 Hydrofarm AAPA 15L. It has four ports on it.
  5. The vibrator isn't needed for that paint but it sure helps with some colors. Those are 3" cups and that white paint started out half full and the air raised it the rest of the way. Didn't lose a bit which really surprised me. The air pump I use can run four 3" beds at one and keep them all rolling.
  6. when everything just works. Did some lure crafting today and when I fired up a couple of my fluid beds this is what I got. One is pearlescent white from Rosey's and the other is a clear top coat called shimmer glass from Prismatic. It's a great combo and I've been using it quite a bit lately.
  7. I've got all three molds. In order of popularity Id say teardrop, finesse, ball.
  8. I called and placed an order Friday and it arrived yesterday.
  9. Is the black powder paint that HF sells a glossy black or matte black?
  10. Instead of dredging up the old thread I'll start a new one. When I received the mold and my first batch of forms I could place the form in the mold so that the opening was towards the front. Several other members were not able to do so. I received a new batch of forms today and they will ONLY fit in the mold with the opening to the rear. Seems it may not have been my mold but the forms. Also the new batch of forms seem to be a bit heavier wire. I'm going to have to get one of the old batch and my mic and check.
  11. Anyone know which O'Hare forms match up with the Do-It forms? Looking for: CC-14 CC-12 CC-34 CC-100 CC-150 CC-200 JSF-1 JSF-2 JSF-3
  12. Same colors are a bit cheaper at Prismatic.
  13. I always cut the epoxy with denatured alcohol. I used to be able to coat around 40-50 large sized blades before the epoxy got too thick to use.
  14. I've never used the UV blast at all so I have no idea.
  15. It's not white but I use this paint if I want something to glow. http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/PPB-4617/GLOWBEE-CLEAR/
  16. Collins Custom has a few. Bit more expensive than Do-It.
  17. How many do you really want? The smaller the quantity the more they cost. Also split rings come in fine, standard and heavy duty. Barlow's carries them all at pretty decent prices. If you need large amounts Worth is your best bet.
  18. With my Twistech I could put the end loops on 100 of those in less than 30 minutes. Mike, Your best bet might be to get those forms from Hagen's, pick up a Twistech and learn to use it. I did some looking last night and could not find a source of that form. You can have it made but that's a 10k minimum.
  19. Barlow's is good to deal with. I'm local and seem to be in the store at least a couple of times a month. My wife is really beginning to hate the words "I need to go to Barlow's" because she knows it's going to mean more stuff.
  20. I've done it for steelhead blades in the past. You'll end up with what's called a white silver finish. It's not going to be bright and polished. In some cases the less flashy finish is desired. You can plate them and then polish them if you want. But with the cost and work it's easier and cheaper IMHO to just buy them already plated. To get an amount of silver on the blade so you can polish it you really need to go with a electroplating system.
  21. Which blades? Most common spinner blades are available with silver plating already.
