  1. Thanks smalljaw, Yep the spinnerbait swivels from LPO are the one's I've used, really good quality I thought and if I get them from Worth direct i'll save some $$$ Thanks guys, I'll deffo go with Worth then
  2. Thanks guys. The swivels I've been using are from LPO, do you know which manufacturer these are, or do LPO make their own. Looks like I will go with Worth swivels at this point based on your advice.
  3. Hey folks. Which of these two are better and by how much? I'm going to be buying my blades from Lakeland but it seems Worth are a cut above with their swivels so is it a noticeable difference between the two? Cheers

  14. Thanks guys, great help. So I was thinking that there was a standard ratio to get the best result. So I'll just fiddle around untill i get a good finish with the 4011. Cheers
  15. Hey guys, just want to know what you use for a createx water based thinner? and what ratio you mix it to. Cheers Frithy
  16. Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone on here uses createx colours on their spinnerbaits. On the createx website they stipulate that they are suitable for use on aluminiums, metals etc. However on the two retail websites I have been on they say you cant apply them to metals? I'm only reffering to the airbrush colours (opaque, transparent etc) and not the wicked and auto products. Cheers Frithy
  17. Thanks guys. I'm liking the Yamamoto single tail grubs, Z-man Crawdadz and Zoom Fat Albert grubs. anyone had any experience with these fellas?
  18. hey guys. just chasing some suggestions on good plastics for trailers for chatterbaits and larger spinnerbaits, I'm mainly looking for durability, I know Z-man elaztech is good, are there any opinions on Yamamoto or Zoom, as these both have baits that would suit my lures? If not, what other recommendations do ya'll have? Cheers

  20. Thanks guys, so pretty much the process I have posted is fine, only slow haha. I thought that I would do each colour separately because I will need extra airbrushes for multiple colours at a time whereas I can do a base coat (50) then change my colour bottle for the next colour. I thought this was the easier than switching bottles for each lure, or is there an easier way to do this? cheers
  21. G'day guys. just curiose to know how precise the heating and curing temps are for powder paint. I have just got a caravan (my spinnerbait factory) with a gas oven in it, so will I be able to get the temp somewhere in the vicinity of the required temp and use the same temp for my curing and simply go through and paint 50 with a base colour, then with a underbelly tone, then with a toptone, then with a lip by goin in and out of the oven set on the same heat for the whole process? Cheers Frithy
  22. another aussie aye, where abouts are you mate?
  23. G'day Everyone. My name's Chris, I live in Australia and have recently started building spinnerbaits. I've been browsing TU for a while and have learned heaps, I look forward to contributing to the site. I'll upload some of my lure pics and some Aussie fish pics every now and then, just for something different (Yellowbelly are my primary target). Cheers Frithy
